✨ A fresh new look for Fresh Design! ✨

We’ve given our showroom a little refresh with a beautiful new sign, just in time for fall! 🍂

And of course, no seasonal refresh would be complete without my mom working her magic! ❤️ After spending over 30 years in the window covering industry, she still loves coming by the showroom — and this time she brought her green thumb to plant our gorgeous winter planters! 🌿🌸

We love being a family-owned business, and it’s these little personal touches that make our showroom feel so special.

Next time you’re in Kitsilano, stop by and see our fresh new look! We’d love to welcome you in. 🤍

⭐️ Friday Five-Star Review ⭐️

Repeat business means so much to us — especially when a client trusts Fresh Design with not just one, but three commercial projects.

With more than 20 years of experience in window coverings, our team understands that commercial spaces need products that are durable, functional, professional looking, and made to perform every day. Hunter Douglas is a great choice for many of these projects because of the quality, reliability, and wide range of options available for larger commercial applications.

From the initial consultation and measuring through to professional installation, we make sure every detail is handled properly and the project runs as smoothly as possible.

We’re incredibly grateful to be the first choice for this client’s future projects — and proud to continue building long-term relationships with our commercial clients.

There’s something extra special about designing a space for someone you love. 🤍

This is my grandson Milo’s room, and I love how the drapery completely finishes the space.

In a kids’ room, drapery isn’t just about room darkening — although that’s definitely important! It also softens the room, adds warmth and texture, and helps pull all of the colours and design elements together.

The combination of the blinds and full-length drapery gives the room both function and that cozy, finished feeling.

Sometimes it’s the finishing touches that make the biggest difference. ✨

One of the questions we hear most often is:

“Why should I buy from a local window covering company instead of a box store?”

The answer isn’t just about the products—it’s about the experience.

When you visit Fresh Design, you’ll work with a team that takes the time to understand your home, your style, and how you use each space. You’ll be able to compare fabrics and operating systems in person, receive expert design advice, and have your windows professionally measured and installed for the best possible fit.

And our service doesn’t end after installation. If you have a question, need an adjustment, or require service down the road, we’re here to help.

Choosing local also means supporting a family-owned business that is invested in our community. Every project allows us to continue doing what we love while supporting local employees and local families.

We truly appreciate every client who chooses Fresh Design. Thank you for supporting local. 🤍

⭐ Friday Five-Star Review ⭐

There’s nothing better than hearing that a client loves their new window coverings.

One of the most important parts of choosing roller shades is selecting the right fabric. The right openness can preserve your view, provide the privacy you need, and create the perfect balance of natural light throughout the day. That’s why we take the time to guide every client through the selection process.

Thank you for trusting Fresh Design with your home. We truly appreciate every review and every opportunity to create beautiful, functional spaces.

☀️ Keep your home cooler this summer—without closing yourself off from the outdoors.

Hunter Douglas Duette Honeycomb Shades are one of the most energy-efficient window coverings available, making them an excellent choice for homes with large windows.

Their unique honeycomb design creates insulating air pockets that help reduce heat transfer, keeping unwanted summer heat outside and helping your home stay cooler. That means:
✨ Greater comfort throughout the day
✨ Less reliance on air conditioning
✨ Potential energy savings during the hottest months

For this home, we installed Duette shades on the main windows while leaving the transom windows open to maximize natural light and showcase the beautiful architecture.

Beautiful views, improved comfort, and energy efficiency—it’s a combination that’s hard to beat.

Thinking about upgrading your windows before the next heat wave? We’d love to help you find the right solution for your home.

Choosing drapery fabric doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

When clients walk into our showroom and see hundreds of fabric samples, they often ask, “Where do we even begin?”

Instead of looking through every fabric, we start by helping you choose the type of fabric that best suits your home:

• Pattern or solid
• Luxurious velvet
• Easy-care poly blends
• Natural 100% linen
• Light and airy sheers

Once you’ve chosen the style you love, we narrow the options even further by selecting colours, textures, and performance features that complement your home and your lifestyle.

Our goal is to make fabric selection enjoyable, not overwhelming.

With hundreds of premium Fabrics available, we’ll guide you every step of the way until you find the perfect fabric for your custom drapery.

Come visit our showroom and see how easy choosing custom drapery can be.

Why we often recommend drapery for large windows

When you’re working with floor-to-ceiling windows, scale matters. Large expanses of glass deserve a window treatment that feels just as substantial—and that’s where custom drapery shines.

For this project, we layered ripplefold sheers with room-darkening ripplefold drapery to create a space that’s both beautiful and functional.

Here’s why this combination works so well:

• Softens the clean lines of large windows and makes the room feel warmer.
• Adds privacy during the day with elegant sheers while still enjoying the view.
• Room-darkening drapery provides light control and privacy whenever it’s needed.
• Ripplefold panels stack neatly and glide effortlessly, making them ideal for wide windows and patio doors.
• The layered look creates depth, texture, and a timeless, high-end finish.

Large windows are one of a home’s greatest features. The right drapery doesn’t hide them—it frames them beautifully.

Would you choose a layered look like this for your home?

Meet two of the people who help bring your projects to life!

Logan and Moe are our installation team, and together they have years of experience installing custom window coverings in homes and commercial spaces throughout the Lower Mainland.

Whether they’re carefully measuring, installing motorized shades, hanging custom drapery, or working from the top of a ladder to reach those extra-tall windows, they take pride in every detail. Their goal is simple: make sure every installation looks beautiful and operates perfectly before they leave.

One of the biggest compliments we receive is how professional, friendly, and meticulous our installers are—and we couldn’t agree more.

Thank you, Logan and Moe, for representing Fresh Design so well every day!
