New Video! We got a Caydo A1 Pro Max to test out ✨️

Is the Caydo A1 Pro Max the right electric yarn winder for your studio? I tested its speed and capacity for large projects and compared it with the previous version (the Caydo M1 Pro).

I've been curious about electric yarn winders for a while now because they are so efficient! And I've been using the Caydo M1 Pro for every ball of yarn in the past year or so ... now, Caydo sent me their new A1 Pro Max and I got a chance to try it out with over 20+ balls of yarn. I tested it with different fibre weights and large yardage to see if it actually holds up or if it's different from the M1 Pro.

If you're prepping warps for a weaving project or trying to wrangle a spinning stash that's gotten out of hand, a good winder makes a real difference. I compare a few yarn types to show how the motor handles the load, and I'll share whether I think it's worth the upgrade or not.

Unfiltered ✨ I have all these snapshots on my phone of the Secret Stash Club colours as the team dyes and prepares the monthly drop. This one is “Birds of Paradise” on a bamboo fibre blend that is new-to-us. I can never show these pics until we release the Club and then I forget to share them… but this colourway was too pretty to miss. This is the September 2026 colourway and I can’t wait to spin this one up. Of course, we have yarn version of this too, if you prefer. 💗

The sounds of bobbins rattling in the shuttle, weft unraveling, be**er packing in each pick, and the changing of sheds. 🥰

Weaving and my inner monologue is pretty much the soundtrack to my life. Boy, it’s loud in here 😆

It’s me, I’m Felicia Lo Meets Loom and I’d love for you to join us inside the School of SweetGeorgia to learn everything from the very basics of weaving on a multishaft loom to exploring weave structures like double weave, overshot, and more.

Creating a picot round on a CSM ✨ pick up a stitch with the pick tool and move it to the next needle, basically creating a round of “yo, k2tog” on the circular sock machine. It’s a fundamental skill you can use for making sock bonnets or à lacy cuff on a sock.

Learn this and other skills for CSM in our Circular Sock Machine Foundations course on the School of SweetGeorgia with Felicia Lo 💗

It’s time to go back to school for all the things you want to learn ✨ Join us in the School of SweetGeorgia for this course and more!

Greta Cornejo has gone down the rabbit hole of machine knitting and, by using the tips taught in our latest Machine Knitting: Hats course at the School of SweetGeorgia, has transformed the Musselburgh hat pattern to be made on the Silver Reed LK 150.

In our latest blog post, Adapting the Musselburgh Hat for the LK 150 Knitting Machine, Greta explains how she converted this pattern, things to be mindful of, colour changes, holding multiple strands, and more!

The joy of creating perfectly uniform knit stitches on a knitting machine is hard to beat. Before long, you find yourself stash diving and making scarves, stoles, and shawls with ease. At some point, a new question naturally comes up. What else can you do with a knitting machine? With a bit of imagination, the answer is: a lot!

With just one simple hat pattern, we learn how to change colours while weaving in ends, how to transform stockinette fabric into ribbing, and how to use a mattress seam for a smooth, polished result.

Come check out our latest pattern included with the newest course at the School of SweetGeorgia, Machine Knitting: Hats! In this online course, instructor Barb Barone also guides us to use this hat as a recipe, teaching us how to customize the fit and style, creating something entirely our own.
