Work in progress within a Holt Renfrew retail environment in Vancouver.
A large-scale limewash finish being developed by hand across the surrounding architectural surfaces.
Unlike a flat painted finish, limewash builds its character through subtle tonal variation, texture and visible movement across the wall. The surface changes with the light, revealing softer and deeper areas rather than reading as one uniform colour.
At this scale, the challenge is not simply applying the material — it is controlling that movement across large continuous surfaces while keeping the overall finish visually balanced.
A different context for Stile di Leo’s decorative finish work, extending from residential feature walls and fireplaces into commercial and luxury retail interiors.
Still in progress. The completed space will be documented once the retail environment is fully installed.
