When Rex and I got married 9 years ago I bought 2 hula hoops for $2, wrapped them in twine and added whatever greenery and florals I had that matched our wedding colours. This is the 5th wedding they have been used for. I have changed out the florals for each wedding based on their individual colours and every time I do they make me smile once I hang them on the old barn doors. Best $2 I ever spent.

Some random pics of things that make me smile around the flower farm. I just finished pressure washing the house and deck and then treated myself with a slow leisurely stroll through the garden and flower farm. I am going to bed tonight content, happy, and calm.

My morning garden walk-through always includes a stop at the pumpkin patch to see what needs to be pollinated! Here’s a quick way to identify your squash flowers (same for all squashes!) and pollinate them! You don’t have to hand pollinate, I just always do to make sure they set!

Flower farm tour July 9th, things are slooooowwwww but we’re getting there. If we could get some warmer overnight temps things would be flourishing but unfortunately that doesn’t seem to be our situation for at least another week :$
