Over the years I have enjoyed being able to learn different methods of painting and also have been able to share my work with others at various craft markets throughout the Lower Mainland. have shared my passion for painting to many others. I am very blessed to have a wonderful family who all support me as I spend many hours in my "craft room" painting for the Christmas
shows. I couldn't do it without all their help.

These are just some photos and clips I have taken with my new phone over the last few days. Nature and animals have always calmed me during troubled times as they do now. Life is starting to settle slightly even though we haven’t been able to get back to our property due to the continuing evacuation order. Still could be a while longer before that happens. We’re working with our insurance people and things are moving along. We’re looking at longer term places to stay but are comfortable for now and the next while.

Thank you for all the love and support we have been receiving since the wildfire. It has really lifted us up. It’s been awesome being able to reconnect with old friends and chatting with people who have been through something similar. Both Craig and I can never thank you enough.

I’ve even found the possibility of painting again although in a much downsized way. It’s a bit too early to do anything yet as there’s a lot on our plates but I am excited for what’s next.

It’s taken me a day to process it but our home and wonderful little neighbourhood at Newport Beach on is gone. So many emotions happening right now but at the same time grateful is at the top of the list. Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out to us. If I missed replying to anyone my apologies. All our family and friends have been amazing with offering accommodation, money or anything at all we might need. and I are safely tucked away at a lovely little rustic cabin outside of Lumby. Right now I’m listening to the creek running beside the house as I drink my morning coffee. Our hosts have been absolutely incredible as they have also opened up their stables to rescue any of the displaced animals. When we were fleeing the wildfire we were trying to find a hotel but everything was sold out either because of the long weekend or people being evacuated booking their places. I quickly went on Airbnb and the only place available was literally this little cabin. I immediately booked it and messaged the host. They had literally just listed the property that day. It was definitely meant for us.

As of now we are waiting to hear back from our adjuster but we know this will be a long process and we don’t expect to get back in to Newport for a while as it’s all still under Evacuation order. No idea what will happen next for us or where we will end up but Craig and I have always been up for new adventures so we will try and remain positive no matter what. I am so lucky to have a wonderful husband like Craig by my side. He’s been absolutely incredible and is always my rock. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Due to our evacuation yesterday from the I must pause all orders from my shop. Unfortunately Craig Larsen and I had to leave our house on Okanagan lake with just a few minutes notice and took very little with us. We are safe at a Airbnb outside the area but we won’t know anymore for several days. Please keep all our friends and neighbours in your thoughts as many of our fellow Westsiders are facing the unknown. I will update you all when we know more.

✨ I’ve just made 6,000 sales on Etsy!✨

It never even crossed my mind that I would reach this milestone.

Opening up my Etsy Shop has been quite the journey and being able to create and paint functional art for everyday life for so many people across Canada and the US has truly been an amazing dream.

It’s been a while since I’ve showed you the process. 🌻

Watching these sunflowers come to life is one of my favourite parts of painting. Since I paint them all individually, each one is just a little bit unique and no two are ever exactly alike. I think that’s part of what makes hand painted pieces so special.

I’m really enjoying our lovely backyard and garden this year. Although we do have next door neighbours you really wouldn’t know it as it’s so private back here. Dutchie our cat and I love to spend sometime in the mornings wandering the yard and doing our chores. Dutchie inspects the pond and the fish while I tend to the baskets and herb garden. Of course Craig Larsen has already been out and done the watering a bigger tasks. I think having such a peaceful space is one of my favourite things about living here in the Okanagan. Anyone else just discover gardening or is it just me? 🧑‍🌾🪏🪴
