I ended my career yesterday. I have known in my heart that I truly long for more art and creativity. The wedding industry is all consuming, and rightly so. But when things just don’t align and you feel trapped in a cage that’s when you know a career shift needs to happen.

The amazing team that helped me orchestrate this closing of a chapter with what I like to do is have full creative power.

More to come… for now I got to create some visual art with this amazing team!

And look at that vintage prices sticker, .19 cents a meter/yard.

In all seriousness I love romance and the prettiness of weddings and designing a unique backdrop. I just pulled out my collection of lace to create something new.

There is nothing like a castle wedding.

The lovely couple rented out permanent botanical floral stands, and Aileen arrangements.

The bride wanted a slightly fuller look so we discussed adding baby’s breath. It was such a good choice!!! Under the June sun where there is no shade, these stayed looking fresh and lush.

I fell in love with these chairs and their story. The lady that sold them to me bought them from an estate sale in Hollywood.

Whether they really are or not I loved the vintage gold and aqua blue pattern. I tied in this color with the aqua glass charger plates and gold cutlery at the sweetheart table.

Don’t be afraid to elevate the sweetheart table with decor that is different than the guests table, just make sure it stays within the color palettes.

So excited that our collaboration is being published in the online edition of magazine!

Grace’s vision comes to fruition. This is a day that is high on my “this was a great day” memories.

I loved reworking my fabric floral petals into a one of a kind backdrop design for this collaboration.

Thank you 🙏🏽 for including me in this uplighting project. I left after this shoot feeling empowered, loved (Grace not only treated everyone to a lovely spread of sustenance) and truly uplifted.
