This is one of the best early Canadiana chest of drawers I’ve had in the shop in over 34 years…. These are rare gems. First its size is remarkable….. and then the hand turned k***s all original are still in place….. hand cut dovetails …. Those drawers open and close like butter! …. That patina, that only age can create….. perfection.

Canadian pine jam cupboard…. I first found this 3 years ago… I was called to handle an estate of early Canadiana… I bought it all! I bought the glasses, knives forks and spoons… the previous owner was an amazing collector .. thoughtful, beyond curated…. It reflected the artist approach to life. Fast forward to now…. This stunner sold quickly in the shop 3 years ago…. And now it’s back as its previous owner is moving…. I love when I get these rare gems back into the shop!

When I’m on the road shopping in France …. It can become a blur… I’m up at 6am most days… on the road …. And I mean on the road! The road to Barjols has 21 hair pin turns…. And I’m doing it in a monster cargo van…. Whew…. A big thank you to for joining me for a week and helping…. And she can confirm the crazy drive…. But it’s always worth it… the unique items I find by going way off the beaten path.
