Four years. 🥹❤️
Today marks four years since Wild at Heart began, and I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to properly put into words what this little business has come to mean to me.
It started as a hobby. Something to keep my hands and my mind busy after losing my dad. I never had some big business plan or imagined where it might go. I just needed something that brought me a little bit of joy during a time when I really needed it.
And somehow, that little something became Wild at Heart.
Four years later, I look back at all the bandanas I’ve made, the markets I’ve stood at, the late nights sewing, the custom requests that have challenged me, the beautiful pups I’ve had the privilege of dressing, and—most importantly—the incredible people who have trusted me to make something special for them.
There have been so many happy tails, happy pups and happy humans along the way. ❤️
And I can’t help but think about how absolutely amazed my dad would be by all of this.
He honestly wouldn’t believe his eyes.
Sometimes I go downstairs to sew and absolutely nothing goes right. The thread breaks. The fabric won’t cooperate. The bobbin turns itself into a bird’s nest. And in those moments, I can almost hear him at his own sewing machine, swearing up a storm at the exact same thing. 😂
I didn’t intend for this anniversary post to be all about him…but really, Wild at Heart exists because of him.
Something I started while trying to find my way through losing him turned into something that has brought me more happiness, friendships, creativity and purpose than I ever could have imagined.
I think he’d be pretty damn proud.
And I know I am. ❤️
To every single person who has ordered, shared a post, stopped by my booth, told a friend about me, sent me a photo of their pup, trusted me with a custom idea, become one of our Wild Ones, or simply cheered this little business on from the sidelines — thank you.
You have helped turn a hobby born during one of the hardest times in my life into an absolute dream come true.
Happy 4th birthday, Wild at Heart. 🥹🐾❤️
Here’s to whatever comes next.
And Dad…this one will always be because of you. ❤️
