And so it begins!
Yesterday I finally got to start working on my Bell box!
First up was cleaning, sanding, prepping and priming, and I was very thankful to have my grandson come along to keep me company and help clean and prime the bottom of the box.
A few things went through my mind while we worked...
Will the bees and mosquitoes ever leave us alone?
Will Mother Nature behave long enough for this primer to dry, or will I be doing some of this again today?
A few neighbours stopped to chat and ask about the theme, and told me they can't wait to see what the box becomes. That made my day.
For now, the boring brown box has become a slightly less exciting primed box, but the colour comes next.
