๐ท Confused about fall bulbs? You're not alone! Here are 5 of the most common questions we hear from our customers, along with a few tips to help you get ready for a beautiful spring garden.
1. What bulbs can I plant in the fall?
There are lots of beautiful options to choose from, including:
๐ท Tulips
๐ผ Daffodils
๐ Crocuses
๐ธ Hyacinths
๐ฟ Alliums
๐ Grape hyacinths
๐ธ Anemones
โ๏ธ Snowdrops
2. Is it too late to plant my bulbs?
Not necessarily! You can keep planting as long as the soil is workable and isn't frozen. Ideally, get your bulbs in the ground before the first hard frost so they have time to settle in.
3. Can I plant bulbs in containers on my balcony?
Absolutely! You don't need a yard to enjoy a burst of spring colour. Choose a pot that's 8โ12 inches deep with drainage holes, and use Nurseryland Potting Soil for the best results.
4. What are naturalising bulbs?
These bulbs multiply and spread over time, creating more blooms year after year. Grape hyacinths, snowdrops and crocuses are popular choices for naturalising in the garden.
5. Should I fertilise my bulbs?
For best results, add bone meal when planting to help support healthy root development and beautiful spring blooms. Always follow the product label for application rates.
๐ฑ Ready for spring? Fall is the perfect time to plant now and look forward to a garden full of colour when warmer weather returns!
