🛋️ Styling Saturday: Float Your Furniture

Here’s one designer tip that can instantly make a room feel larger and more thoughtfully designed…

Don’t push all of your furniture against the walls.

It might seem like placing everything around the perimeter creates more space, but in many rooms, pulling your sofa or chairs out just a few inches creates better flow, defines the conversation area, and gives the room a more balanced, intentional feel.

Sometimes the smallest adjustments make the biggest impact—and this one doesn’t cost a thing.

✨ Before buying new furniture or décor, try rearranging what you already have. You might be surprised at how much it transforms your space.

Would you try floating your furniture, or do you prefer everything against the walls?

✨ Favorite Finds Friday ✨

If you’ve been following along, you already know this is one of my favourite luxury vinyl plank floors!

Provincial Plank – Algonquin has the perfect blend of warm greige tones and light European oak, making it incredibly versatile for almost any design style—from Scandinavian and modern to timeless transitional.

What I love most:
✔️ Waterproof
✔️ Kid & pet friendly
✔️ Durable 20 mil wear layer
✔️ Warm, natural look without the maintenance of hardwood

Choosing the right flooring is one of the biggest design decisions you’ll make, and it’s the foundation for your entire home. This one never disappoints.

🤍 Would you choose a light European oak floor or something a little darker? Let me know in the comments!

✨Tuesday Tip

One of the easiest ways to make a room feel larger?
Hang your curtains higher and wider than the window.
It instantly creates a custom, designer look.

🛋️ Styling Saturday: Layer Your Pillows Like a Designer

Throw pillows are one of the easiest and most affordable ways to refresh a room.

My favourite designer formula is simple:
🤍 Start with larger neutral pillows.
✨ Add a patterned or textured pillow for interest.
🌿 Finish with a smaller accent pillow that ties the colours together.

Mixing textures like linen, boucle, velvet, or woven fabrics creates depth and gives your sofa or bed that polished, professionally styled look.

The best part? You can completely change the feel of a room just by swapping out your pillows with the seasons.

✨ Save this tip for your next styling project, and tell me—are you a minimal pillow person or do you love a sofa piled high with cushions?

✨ Favorite Finds Friday ✨

One of my go-to design elements for creating instant warmth and character? Wood slat wall panels.

These panels add texture, depth, and a custom designer look without requiring a major renovation. I love using them behind TVs, in entryways, offices, bedrooms, and even commercial spaces to create a stunning focal point.

They’re a simple way to take a plain wall and turn it into something truly special.

🤎 Which finish would you choose—the warm oak or the soft greige?

Save this post for your next renovation or decorating project!

✨Tuesday Tip
When styling shelves or tables, less is often more.

Try grouping dĂŠcor in threes for a balanced, designer-inspired look.

🌿 Styling Saturday: Every Room Needs Something Living

One of the simplest ways to make a room feel warm, inviting, and complete is to add something living.

Whether it’s a leafy plant, fresh flowers, or faux greenery that looks incredibly realistic, natural elements instantly soften a space and add texture, colour, and life.

Don’t worry if you don’t have a green thumb—beautiful faux stems can have the same visual impact with almost no maintenance.

It’s often the finishing touch that brings a room together.

✨ Styling isn’t about adding more—it’s about adding the right pieces.

Save this tip for your next home refresh, and tell me… are you Team Real Plants 🌿 or Team Faux Greenery 🍃?

✨Favorite Finds Friday

Who says you need an electrician to get designer lighting?
These rechargeable, wireless wall sconces are one of my favorite budget-friendly finds.
They add beautiful ambient lighting without hardwiring, making them perfect for renters,
DIY projects, or spaces where running electrical just isn't practical.
I especially love using them to frame artwork, a bed, a fireplace, or a dining room feature wall for that custom designer look.
💡Designer style.
🏡Easy installation.
🤍Big impact.
Would you use these in your home? Tell me where you'd install them!
