I was so thrilled to be at Kindred Farm’s Open House on this beautiful day where we celebrated our donors & monthly Coffee Club members. It was lively, full of wonderful energy & all the animals were highly anticipating their pumpkin smashes (lol almost! except for Secret & Badger! 🐴🐴 but they were happy to share with Peanut & Clover 🐮🐮) 🎃 What a rad way to commemorate the Fall season & also receive the most generous donations & welcome new monthly ☕️ members!

What a joy it is to visit my makers-turned-friends as they display their beautiful works at galleries & markets around our communities ✨ I don’t get to see them every day in person at the shop anymore, but this is the most wonderful next best thing. Gorgeous art, vibes & company while visiting Jasmina Charleston & Ayoe Ingemann Lai as they were set up at Crescent Beach (alongside more artists!) & I can’t wait for them to be back there again along with Jasmina’s feature at the Surrey Art Gallery! 😍 Follow along for where they’ll be next & join me in keeping that local love alive 💛 As small business owners, makers, artists & creatives of all types, we are all so grateful for you 🎨

On Thursday, August 27, we’re bringing live music to the scenic beachfront at Memorial Park, and we’re sending off the 2026 concerts season with Juno-nominated Canadian Legends Spoons at the Concerts at the Pier, Presented by TD at 7 PM! 🤩✨

It’s a finale you don’t want to miss- and we’ve got a few tips to make the most out of your concert experience:

🎶 Invite family or a few friends, arrive early to snag a spot, and don’t forget to bring a lawn chair.
☔️Bring your umbrellas and raincoats- there is a small amount of potentially rain in the forecast, but that won’t stop the show!
🍔Feeling hungry? We’ve got so many great restaurants along Marine Drive! Order takeout or dine in before the concert- we highly recommend booking reservations.
🚧 Heads up! Road closures will be in effect from 6 PM - 10:30 PM along Marine Drive (Vidal St to Maple St)- however, parking on Marine Drive will be open.

Jordan Carrier is a founding member of Fear of Houses, Jordan Carrier and the Soviets, and White Rock’s legendary band Cozy Bones. As a producer and solo artist, he won the 2008 CFOX Vancouver Seeds. We're excited for him to perform on Thursday!

I was so proud to be part of our fourth annual Salmon Sessions Music Festival — the bestest one yet! What a beautiful way to bring our community together to celebrate, fundraise, and connect — all while enjoying the best live music!
