The Concerts at the Pier have been announced — and I’ll be MCing this year! I am SO excited to be part of such an iconic lineup! 🤗🎶🌊

We’re thrilled to announce the lineup for the 10th anniversary of the Concerts at the Pier, Presented by TD!

Headlined by multiple award-winning national touring acts, the 2026 Concerts at the Pier, Presented by TD features the series’ best lineup yet:

June 25 at Grand Chief Bernard Robert Charles Memorial Plaza (15457 Marine Dr): The Barra MacNeils' 40th Anniversary Tour

July 9 at Miramar Village (15181 Thrift Ave): Faber Drive

July 23 at Miramar Village, part of White Rock Pride Week: Doug and the Slugs

August 20 at Miramar Village: Delhi 2 Dublin

August 27 at Memorial Park (14970 Marine Dr): Spoons

All concerts start at 7 pm, with the headliners performing at 8 pm.

You don’t want to miss White Rock’s iconic summer concert series, so bring your lawn chair and sunscreen, grab dinner or takeout from one of White Rock’s renowned restaurants, and make sure you’re at the 2026 Concerts at the Pier, Presented by TD!

Mother’s Day might’ve been a little quieter at the shop this year, but my weekend couldn’t have been more busy. After 11 long years, I got to spend the whole weekend with my Mama, when normally I’d be spending the month wrapping up all your Mom-approved gifts, creating bespoke gift boxes & hosting the most amazing pop-ups 🌸🌸 I miss every moment of the in-shop experience where I get to connect with you on the daily, but I’ve also been really grateful to spend more time during this transitionary season with my family, where we’ve been able to create new memories together outside of my shoplife. While I’d love to know where life leads next, I’ve tried to embrace the moments & opportunities I’ve had since the shop closed to expand on other parts of my next chapter. Maybe the parts that got a little neglected during the last 10 years….maybe parts that needed a little extra love & time that I didn’t always have for them.

Even though transitions can bring a lot of uneasiness, I’ll always be grateful. Grateful for my fam, friends, new folks that have found me in these moments of my life that I needed them the most….

I hope you’ve been able to spend these beautiful Spring days doing things you love, with folks you love 💛 I miss you all every day, & I’m always evaluating next steps & how things will continue to evolve, but I’m always thinking of you, too.

E a r t h 🌏 D a y

My favourite way to celebrate Earth Day every day is to lend my hand at making this beautiful planet a better place for all who exist on it — & animals are always my priority 🌱 Which is why I’m so grateful for my volunteer work with Kindred Farm, a local organization that truly puts its heart on the line for land, animals, children & adults alike.

🌿 The shop has always led with sustainability in every product carried & business decision made because without this Planet, we wouldn’t be here.

There is no Plan B, my friends. She’s the only one we’ve got 🌎 Let’s be good to her, not just for one day, but for every day that we can. 🐑🐐🐴

This is The Handpicked Home’s eleventh Easter spent with you, but our first without the retail shop doors, & it’s a tough season. This transition continues to be challenging, the world still feels like it’s crumbling, economic uncertainly is rampant, the job market is……..wild (I know because I feel like I’ve applied for every single position!) and that doesn’t include all the ongoing hardships of family life. But, I am grateful to still be a part of your life, your special occasions, your small shop love. I miss seeing you every day, but thankful to have made our amazing connections together. You feel like family to me — for this I am so grateful — isn’t that what the holidays are all about?
