Thistlewood’s first Christmas season was 2020 and the famous Covid era. This I have photos of everything I made back then. I sold loads online and tried everything and anything that anyone asked. Not everything turned out, but as the mugs in the first photo states, “You can do hard things.” That’s still true even today.

Something special for a special day!

This was a custom order this summer for a wedding party. A customer of mine who knew what they wanted made it easy to know how to make them.

Color: That black glaze that looks like stars in the sky on brown clay
Shape: a mug with a waist
Handle: my regular
Detail: initials with a heart

Voilà! Gorgeous mug!

So many things to be grateful for on this weekend.

You. Without my fan club Thistlewood would be non-existent.

Dreams. I’m more of a doers than a dreamer. But I’m learning to be okay with not taking action on all the things I want to do. Slow living is living the dream one day at a time.

My church family who are there supporting me along the journey with encouragement and a positive environment.

I could mention so many more things, but these are the things I’m inspired with this afternoon.

Are you needing a little retail therapy and a good dose of made in Manitoba!? I will be at Scattered Seeds Craft Market in the second weekend from the 23-25th. I’m a fan of this event if you haven’t noticed yet.

If you want the very best of the Thistlewood Christmas line up- you’ll want to be there. Products are already disappearing into boxes and won’t see light of day until the event!

Cheers! Cheryl
