Honoured to have gotten to work on the infamous White Oaks Project with 🔥
This was a big restoration project, and Ashley was looking for us to integrate some Hearths into two fireplace spaces while keeping the original fireplaces in-tact!
We Integrated high-performance concrete with existing millwork and stone with surgical precision
Here’s why our 12,000 psi precast concrete was the right call:
- At that strength, point-loading a heavy cast iron stove is a non-issue. The client has a hearth stone that’s essentially indestructible.
- The high density creates a perfect heat sink, soaking up the stove’s warmth and radiating it back long after the fire is out.
- There’s nothing like the contrast of ultra-strong, hand-troweled or cast concrete against traditional wood and stone. It’s the ultimate anchor for these rooms
