***Updated time and details!***
We hadn’t realized that there is a Pride parade poster making party at Avon United Church on Wednesday from 6:30pm-8:30pm (you should go!), and we don’t want anyone to feel rushed or like they can’t take part in different events, so we’ve opened our macrame Pride leaf event into a drop in! Stop in anytime between 4pm-8pm on Wednesday, June 3rd. Still $15 per person, and the studio fee is still waived 🥰 Pride week is going to be a great time, and is happy to be a sponsor 🏳️‍🌈

I'm sharing this post with you because I often find it difficult to explain to people how and why we teach the intro to the wheel here at Makers Studio the way we do. I can say with pride, we offer a program unlike anywhere else in Nova Scotia. A program that has grown and evolved over the last 5 years based on the needs demonstrated by the people who now call this studio “home”. People just like you who have always had the dream to learn how to throw.

We offer our classes staggered over time. This means you only take and pay for what you need as you need it.

Our Intro to the Wheel (Step 1) is limited to only three people or less to ensure focus is on you. That way our instructor can adapt how he teaches to how it is you learn and how your brain and body experience the clay.

Upon completion of Step 2, Focus on the Fundamentals, you can access the studio, use the wheels and have unlimited access to practice clay for only $100 per year.

When you're ready, and only when you're ready, you can purchase clay through us. Included in the cost is use of the house glazes and both the bisque and glaze firing. Works out to approximately only $4/mug.

On numerous occasions we've had people say after taking the full day Intro class with Eli, “I learned more today than I learned over the multi week class I took elsewhere.”

Come check us out next time you're in town. We're located in downtown Windsor NS. Big purple building across the street from the Pharmasave. You won't be disappointed. We are a community studio for multiple mediums and we also have kick ass market showcasing top quality handcrafted art from all over NS.

Cheers
Barb
