🎄✨ Holiday Glam, Handmade! ✨🎄

I’ve been perfecting my capelet pattern, and it’s finally ready — just in time for holiday parties and cozy winter evenings! ❄️

Choose your style:
❤️ The Hollyberry Hooded Capelet — a classic festive look trimmed in soft faux fur. Perfect for sleigh rides, soirées, and everything in between.
💗 The Sugarplum Collared Capelet — plush, elegant, and perfect for pairing with your favorite dress or winter outfit. Inspired by snowy nights and bubbly champagne

Each one is made with sparkly yarn and fuzzy trim for that little extra holiday magic. 🪩

✨ Handmade with care, designed to keep you warm and fabulous. ✨

Which one would you wear — the hood or the collar?

PSA: if someone innocently calls your crocheting “knit” or your knitting “crochet” because they’re not familiar with these skills and that upsets you, you’re a fibre Karen. Unless you know the correct terminology for every hobby in every country in the world you’re just being an insufferable t**t.

Here’s what you can do:

✔️ politely say “this is actually very similar to knitting but it’s technically called crochet” (or vice versa)
✔️ say nothing because in the big scheme of things it doesn’t matter what anyone calls it

When it’s ok to get annoyed:

😑 in tv or movies when they say someone is knitting but they are clearly crocheting OR when they have knitting needles and yarn but the thing hanging off it is clearly crocheted (again or vice versa) IF its set in a place that uses both terms (Basic research isn’t that hard and if you’re going to represent something you should get it right)

What to do: point at the tv in disgust, sighing loudly and saying out loud “That’s crochet, duh” while rolling your eyes…hard

😠 If you are in a craft show or paying someone to advertise for you and the person making the post/ad refers to your stuff as crocheted even though you clearly gave them a description of it being knit

What to do: write a passive aggressive message asking them to correct their mistake and thanking them for their attention to this matter

😡 if someone calls your crocheting “knitting” on purpose because they know you don’t like it

What to do: repeatedly jab them with a crochet hook then impale them with a knitting needle while screaming “SEE THE DIFFERENCE NOW?!?!?!”

If you know me you know how much I love Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. I made this steampunk style crooked top hat from a pattern by the incredibly talented Stephanie from Crochetverse with colours inspired by Sally. Next up is a Jack one!! Should I attempted Oogie Boogie 🤔

I’ve just finished these cozy crochet shawls, and I am in love with how they turned out! ❄️ They’re inspired by the look of vintage winter wraps (think classic elegance with a modern twist).

One features soft wintery blues and greens, and the other in a bold pink & black combo for a completely different statement look. A cream and rainbow shade is coming soon!

Perfect for keeping warm while still looking chic. Perfect for dressy occasions or wear them casual over your favorite sweater. 💕

What do you think – are you more of a frosty winter tones person or a dramatic pink & black type?

He’s stitched together with love, scraps, and some spooky magic. ⚡💚

“Beware; for I am fearless, and therefore powerful.” ~ Mary Shelley, Frankenstein

This little brain nibbler may look patched-up, but he’s ready to steal hearts (and maybe a bit of cheese 🧀).

Fellow crafters please beware of pattern scams. Don’t buy patterns or materials from online sources unless you have checked them out thoroughly. A friend just bought a pattern online for $3 and they tried to take $4000 from her account.

She filed a complaint and that site is down but there are many more scam sites out there.

Also when you purchase a pattern and everything is good tag or mention the designer so we can all support them.
