NAME: The Dark Hound Mask Mark 5

THE STORY: The newest product in Harktave environmental assault collection. The Dark Hound mask filters all known toxins and sports a nano tungsten carbide shell. All your favourite returning features from the Mark 4 have been enhanced across the board! Remember: "if it isn't Harktave, you can't be saved!™"

THE CREATION: This is my original design, creation, print, paint, and seal. It was a complicated design as I normally sculpt organic-looking objects. For this project, I had to combine a soft organic sculpt of a mask cover to fit a face, along with the hard ridged edges of the exterior shell. This did not go well at first! (There's a reason this is named the Mark 5!). Several of the original designs could not print in reality, as their geometry could not exist in real life. Lol. The design took approximately 40 hours total to design (with all the trial & error), and the final printing job took 3.5 days straight printing. After it was printed, I gave it this sleek black cyber-punk look, and my kids told me to use a baby blue colour for the neon underlay. I then sealed the whole thing with a resin coat, installed a cloth mask insert, and elastic bands at the back for support.

NAME: The Cane of Frost.

THE STORY: After the Staff of Storms broke, Cross decided to streamline his accoutrement, switching from a full-blown staff to a cane. Thus, the Cane of Frost was born.

THE CREATION: In late fall of 2019, an extreme snow storm came out of nowhere while we still had leaves on the trees. This knocked down several choice branches in our neighbourhood. I absconded with a branch that looked about as straight as I could find. Earlier that fall, my family and I returned from a trip to Disney World. We had an epic trip, and rallied from morning until night. However, this took a toll and as the doctor put it, "shredded all the muscles" in the front of my left leg. A cane was certainly in order for a while! At least I got to have fun making it. The crook is my own 3D printed design, wrapped with some scrap leather. The scroll around the shaft actually tells the story of me hurting my leg, written in elvish.

NAME: "The Chain Maille Component Pouch"

THE STORY: "Look - it only takes one time for your pouch to get slashed. You lose your bat guano and sulfur, and then no more fireballs! But with this baby, that's no longer an issue. Come on, it's only 5 gold!"

CREATION: This is my first foray into creating chain maille, and I thought what better for a first project than a dice bag - typically used for tabletop gaming. The chain maille is sourced from stainless steel rings, braided with care. All of the charms are made out of school glue (a product I use a lot!). I developed a way of creating crystalline structures by dying the glue, letting it dry, cutting it up, dying it again, letting it dry, cutting it up, and then putting the now small crystals together to shape something that looks like quartz. The stained 'glass' window piece utilizes a similar technique, with 'silver' frame, made of an upcycled wooden coffee stir stick. To see it in person, I don't think many would guess what the embellishments are truly made from! ..

Introducing: the Heyman Brothers!

THE STORY: George and Ryan were a couple-a mischief-makers, that's for darn sure! Until they came afoul of their boss and he made them into a set of crockery. They too can be yours for the low, low price of $70 (3D design, printed, and hand-painted by me).

CREATION: I had the pleasure of designing these skull bowls for my first customer on this page! They are a 3D rendering that I made. I initially made the smaller skull as a test print to see sizes, but the customer thought they belonged together as a pair and bought them both! Although the painting on this particular set is just the primer, the final look will be different (stay tuned...)

While these two are ready SOLD, I can print more - $50 for the larger, $25 for the smaller, or $70 for the pair. Can be painted any colour your heart desires. Prefer to paint them yourself? No problem - bring them home to paint for $40 (large) and $15 (small), respectively.

NAME: The Flagon of Endless Luck

THE STORY: The door creaked as they slowly entered the darkened room. A quick strike of their flint ignited a torch, illuminating the cabin. Sitting atop a throne of golden coins and other shiny gems, rested the skeletal figure of Ridley ‘the Rat’ Jones, the infamous pirate. Clutched in her bony hand was the culmination of years of hard work.

CREATION: This was a happy accident - formed out of an upcycled water bottle that had been melted on one side (by sitting too close to our stove - oops). The melted bend created a perfect divot for a gem I had been playing with, and decided to see how far I could push this creation towards gaudy pirate b***y. Other embellishments include fake gold, plastic gems, chains, and some costume jewelry.

Thank you everyone for your support & encouragement as we start this page! The fluffy falling snow outside inspired me to share this ice-themed item:

THE NAME: The Glacial Scimitar

THE STORY: The merchant wagon stopped, and the drivers looked at each other. They had only been in the desert for half a day, and had run this route many a time before. They knew exposure could trigger mirages, but they were typically of water, not snow. Hopping down from the wagon, their boots crunched on packed ice, leading to a centrepoint where a glistening blade stuck out of the sand.

CREATION: This is one of my first attempts at 3D design, creating a blade for a Halloween costume. It took several attempts to get it right, and there’s more than one broken print in the garbage somewhere! Finally I was able to put it together, and used blue iridescent paint for the handle. Gems and symbols adorn the blade. I wrapped the handle with some leather (which I had actually bought with a gift card I won, by entering my first cosplay contest!).

Greetings to all who trespass here! My name is Daniel and I am a geek-of-all-trades, based in Winnipeg, Canada. I love to create one-of-a-kind items with inspiration taken from the weird recesses of my brain. I enjoy creating nerdy works of art with a story - such as mimics, miniatures, chain maille, & more - usually made with random materials found around my house & using my 3D printer. I have been encouraged to share my unique creations here, so away we go! Some may be for sale, others just to share. I am available for custom work as well. Thank you for stopping by & safe travels!
