Prairie Winds Refinishing True Furniture Restoration, Repair, and Refinishing But you can`t quite bring yourself to do it......there is a lot of history in that piece of furniture. Steve

Furniture Refinishing and Repair

Your sitting at your dining room table looking at the dated color, the myriad of scratches, dings and dents, and that loose leg that always spills your coffee when you sit down. I can already see the gears turning in your head....maybe its time to head to one of the big box stores to buy something new. You probably sat with your family around that table for years, and watched them grow up. It was a place for friends and family to gather to share stories and good times....and you know, sometimes hard times too. Ultimately, its a piece of your history. So why throw it out and buy something made of inferior materials on an assembly line in China? Let me bring it back to its former glory for you. Anything from minor to major repairs.....full on stripping and refinishing.....or even just giving that clear coat a new lease on life and bright shine. If its made of wood, I can make it look new again, and in some cases, better than it was new. Services Offered.
-Complete wood furniture stripping
-Wide variety of finishes available
-Professionally applied clear coating via modern spray equipment
-Repairs and fabrication of worn or missing parts
-Wood lathe fabrication

I also do kitchen/bathroom cabinet refinishing as well. All stripping and refinishing of doors is done in my shop, freeing up your space of the typical renovation hindrances. Quite stalling and give me a call or email. Its something I enjoying doing, and take a lot of pride in working on peoples treasures.

Feel like having a little walk down nostalgia lane? Imagine if you will, that it's April of 1949 and you are with your parents walking down Portage Ave in Winnipeg. It's quite possible that your mom is guiding you by the hand to Eatons, with these very flyers in her purse, to shop for the household. I remember going there, and The Bay, to look at toys and books. As it so happens, this was the very year that this particular department store officially changed their name to The T Eaton Company Limited. Doesn't looking at those prices get you depressed..... especially considering how much better things were made back then? This was an amazing find
