It's November, and I'm super excited!

Why, you ask?
Well, November is a month of many birthdays in my family - what can I say? People like to celebrate Valentine's Day. I'd like to introduce you to the black and white collection: stamped, stained, and glazed porcelain.

These ones will be exclusively available on my Etsy (Made by Kira Koop - I ship anywhere!) once they're finished. They've been through one kiln firing already, this is the staining stage, and once they're fired again they'll be ready to be made into earrings and a necklace!

Hi everyone! I'm off to the cabin for an internet-free long weekend, so I'll get back to any messages on Tuesday. In the meantime, take a look at this image from the studio on Wednesday night - I spent a few hours building 3 more barre pendants and 10 pairs of earrings, with a bit of texture! My partner and I volunteered our time last month to model for the first day of Curtis Moore's photography workshop, and naturally, I wore one of my favourite pieces! (this one is mine, but I have a couple left in other glaze colours/clay bodies - shoot me a message if you'd like to see).

Things are gearing up for the WildWoodRose Vintage Market next weekend: I bought all my boxes and bags today - paper, and recyclable of course!
As an aside, if any of my local friends in Winnipeg need any retail supplies, I highly recommend WR Display - they have so much of everything, and the associate walked me through all the problem solving steps in record time.

Next up is tackling the display!

I love working out of a community ceramics studio - it's such a lovely thing to see the things that other people are making, you get to be inspired by new shapes and ideas all the time!


Pictured: more porcelain pieces, I'm planning on glazing these pendants and studs in creams and whites. They'll be perfect as simple pieces for weddings and every day after. 😊
