Cold rooms every winter, draughty windows and a few that would not open. That is what this 20-year-old Calgary home was dealing with.

We replaced every window full frame with triple-glass ENERGY STAR casement, awning and fixed units, vinyl inside and out so there is nothing to maintain. For the interior, the homeowner chose our wood finishing package to keep the wooden look and match the casing around the rest of the house.

A crew of three did the whole house in one day, cleanup and disposal of the old windows included, and was done before 6 PM.

This Calgary home is about 20 years old and sits close to a highway. Most of the glass units had moisture trapped between the panes, a few windows would not open, and the traffic noise was keeping the homeowner up at night.

We replaced the windows full frame with ENERGY STAR casement, awning and fixed units, all with triple glass for maximum energy efficiency and soundproofing. The vinyl interior finishing means next to no upkeep. Out back, the old door made way for a steel door system with a full glass insert and mini blinds for privacy.

The whole job was done in one day.

Another Winnipeg home is ready for every season. The aging wood windows had become difficult to open, drafts were noticeable around the frames, and several sealed units had fogging between the panes.

NorthShield installed triple-glass, energy-efficient windows with maintenance-free vinyl finishing. The project included slider, casement, awning, fixed, and custom half-moon styles, along with a privacy-glass side door. A three-person crew completed the full-home upgrade in one day.

Thirty-five years was a good run for these wooden windows, but by the end most of them would not open and the drafts were hard to ignore.

This Toronto homeowner wanted ENERGY STAR windows, a lifetime warranty and a company that installs with its own crew. We replaced about a dozen windows brick to brick: casements, awnings, sliders and fixed panes, all with double glass, Low-E 272 and argon gas. The inside of every opening is finished in white vinyl, so there is nothing left to paint.

Start to finish, including cleanup and hauling away the old windows, it took a day and a half.

Cold, drafty aluminum windows are out on this North York brick home.

The homeowner wanted ENERGY STAR windows that stayed on budget, needed no upkeep and came with a lifetime warranty. We went with a retrofit install: new white casement, fixed and awning windows set into the existing openings, a few sliders in the basement, and fresh aluminum capping outside. Every unit has double glass with Low-E and argon.

Our three-person crew finished the whole house in one day.

Sixty years is a long time for any window. On this Winnipeg home, most of the original wooden windows would not open anymore, and the draft around the frames was hard to miss.

The homeowner wanted ENERGY STAR windows with a lifetime warranty and next to no upkeep. We took the old units out completely and put in full-frame vinyl casement, awning and fixed windows, all with triple glass for Manitoba winters and summers.

Our crew of three showed up at 9 AM and was done by 3 PM, cleanup and old window disposal included.
