Paul passed away peacefully on April 10th, 2026, surrounded by his family.

A come and go celebration of life will be held at West Textiles, 803 Erin St. Winnipeg, May 9th, 1:00-4:00pm.

Kassey is our Jill of all trades at West! She joined the west family just after her practicum from Red River 4 years ago and has filled every role since!

She has been the delightful face and helping hand you see when you come into the showroom. She helps with sourcing online, finding physical samples and pulling together options. She has helped many clients find the perfect fabric for their project (some at more lengths than others). She has amazing artistic abilities which we have witnessed from her sharing her projects from school or when she has gone to extra lengths to sketch a chair to show a clients who were struggling to visualize the finished project.

When you call in she is the calm and professional voice on the other end of the phone that many mistake for Kathy and has an answer to almost any question.

She fills in or assists Bryan in the warehouse with vacuum packing, cutting or deliveries and makes carrying full rolls of fabric look effortless! She helps in the office with ordering, filing and logging in fabrics as they arrive. She takes on training our practicum students with grace and calm and makes everyone feel welcome! She is our party planner extraordinaire and is a great collaborator for our lunch and learn spreads!

She truly does it all and that is what makes this next part so hard! At the end of July Kassey is going to be heading on a month long adventure to Portugal before she starts school full time. She will officially be leaving West to go to school and discover her dreams in the rest of the design world!

Kass you will always be a part of our west family and we appreciate all that you have contributed in your time with us. We are going to miss the truly amazing person you are!

We wish you all the best and know that our paths will cross again in one way or another. 💕

Meet Christy✨

Christy is our super stylish and creative showroom manager! With over 20 years of experience in the window covering industry, Christy shares her knowledge, expertise, and love for design. She has also taken on the responsibility of our Winnipeg road rep and enjoy visiting clients and showing new product weekly! And did we mention her organizational skills are exceptional… because they are! Her kindness and positivity lights up our world and we are so happy to have her on the team ❤️

Christy also just celebrated her one year anniversary here at West!

In her free time, Christy loves to spend time with her two boys, Jacob and Dexter, her husband, Aaron, her cat, Opera, and the rest of her family. She enjoys reading, getting together with friends, knitting, making greeting cards, drinking coffee on her porch, and going for walks!
