🍯 A Little Something from the Hundred Acre Wood 🌿

Some stories never really leave us.

They stay with us through childhood, through the pages of well-loved books, and through the memories we make sharing them with the next generation.

This October 14th marks 100 years since A. A. Milne first published his beloved collection of woodland stories in 1926.

Inspired by the simple joys found within those pages, I’ve created six hand-poured candles that capture a little of that storybook magic.

Think warm honey, woodland evergreens, freshly picked flowers, little vegetable gardens, rainy afternoons, and sweet citrus treats.

Each candle has been thoughtfully created with its own fragrance, colour, and hand-poured wax details.

A little nostalgia, a little whimsy, and a whole lot of love.

Cocktails, but make them candles 🍹🕯️

I had a little fun at Made Here pairing some of my Cocktail Series candles with their alcohol-free drink counterparts from Sobr Market.

Rum Punch, Sparkling Negroni, Peach Mango Bellini, Mint Mojito & Elderflower Aperitif — all the colour and fun of cocktail hour, in candle form.

There’s something especially satisfying about seeing the candle sitting beside the drink that inspired it. ✨

You can find the Cocktail Series at Made Here — and maybe pick up the matching drink while you’re there. 🤍

Which pairing would you choose?

Apparently, candle making really does run in the family. 🕯️🤍

My mom started Little White Bird Candle Co. in 2014. Years later, she passed the business on to me, and I’ve been lucky enough to continue what she started and make it my own.

But recently, while researching my Feilberg family history, I discovered something neither of us ever knew.

More than 200 years ago, Henning Frederik Feilberg was a wax-candle manufacturer in Denmark.

And the connection didn’t end with him.

His son, Carl Adolph Feilberg, followed in the industry. In 1842, he established Falkonergårdens Fabrikker at Falkonergården in Frederiksberg, Denmark, where candles and soap were manufactured.

So, generations before Little White Bird ever existed, there was already a father and son in the Feilberg family making candles.

And generations later, without knowing any of this history, my mom started a candle company of her own — and eventually passed it down to her daughter.

There’s something so special about discovering a thread in your family story that you never knew you were carrying.

From Henning and Carl Adolph making candles in Denmark, to my mom beginning Little White Bird in Manitoba in 2014, to me carrying her business forward today…

Maybe some things really do find their way through the generations. 🕯️

Little White Bird Candle Co. — apparently, candle making has been in the family longer than we ever knew. 🤍

🌲 The Whiteshell Candle is back. 🌊

For the third summer, this little piece of lake country has returned to The Mason Jar.

The Whiteshell Candle was created to capture those slow summer evenings at the lake — calm water, endless skies, the quiet of the boreal forest and that feeling that somehow everything moves just a little slower out there.

With notes of apple, tart raspberries & warm woods, it’s fresh and subtly sweet with a warm, woodsy finish — a scent inspired by summer in Manitoba’s Whiteshell.

Made exclusively for The Mason Jar, and freshly restocked for another summer. 🤎

Here’s to lake days, quiet evenings, and summers spent in the Whiteshell. 🌲🛶☀️

✨ If candles could talk… they’d all be making their case. 😅

🐟 “Pick me!” — The Koi Pond Candle, bringing a little moment of calm wherever it goes.

🫐 “Choose me!” — The Blueberry Muffin Candle, warm from the oven and impossible to resist.

🏖️ “Love me!” — The Winnipeg Beach Candle, smelling like fruity beachside smoothies and summer by the lake.

Now the hard part… which one are you taking home? 👀👇

☀️ Winnipeg Beach is back! 🌊🍓🥝🥭

One of last year’s best sellers has officially been restocked!

Inspired by long summer days on Manitoba’s shores, Winnipeg Beach opens with juicy kiwi, ripe strawberries, and sweet mango—like sipping a fresh beachside smoothie in the sunshine. Finished with invigorating lakeside splashes and warm black coconut wood, this candle captures the carefree feeling of a lakeside escape.

If you missed it last summer, now’s your chance. These disappeared quickly last year, so I don’t expect them to stay on the shelves for long. 💙 Find them in person Breakwater Coffee & Ice Cream and soon to be restocked Made Here

Have you ever spent a summer day at Winnipeg Beach? 🌊☀️

✨ Back for a second year. ✨

This collection was created as a custom order for Jade celebrating some of the most loved places around The Pas, Manitoba—from the crystal waters of Clearwater Lake to evenings at Rocky Lake, Cottage Cove, Purple Sand Beach, Campers Cove and Sunset Beach.

Seeing these candles become part of so many homes has been such an honour.

For the second year in a row, Clearwater Lake sold out in just one day, and the rest of the collection has been disappearing just as quickly. 💙

Thank you to everyone who has supported this little collection again this summer. A restock is already on the way!

Which destination would you light first? 🌲🏖️☀️

Tomorrow I’m launching one of my most special collections yet. 🍓✨

What makes this collection extra meaningful is that it wasn’t just my idea—it was my daughter’s too.

One afternoon we were dreaming up new candle ideas together and somehow landed on the exact same inspiration at the same time: the sweet, nostalgic world of Strawberry Shortcake.

🍓 Strawberry Shortcake
🫐 Blueberry Muffin
🍋 Lemon Meringue
🍊 Orange Blossom
🍋‍🟩 Lime Chiffon
🎀 Raspberry Torte

This collection brings together childhood memories, colorful friendships, and a little bit of the magic that happens when creativity is shared across generations.

I can’t wait to share the Berryland Collection with you all at tomorrow’s market. 💕🍓

Which scent would you choose first?
