I have subscribed to Stjohn mailclub. I have worked on 2 months now.

Last month was about connection and it made me think about who were important connections in my live, the different fabrics represent different people.

This month August was about hope. I had a lovely time thinking about hope and putting so many things into the embroidery. I worked on it for days. But when it came to the questions I had a hard time putting that hope into words!

I suppose that's the purpose of art therapy! To think about things you can't put into words!

I am really enjoying the mailclub and I am so glad I have subscribed

Sew Q***r is on its travels!

As part of the woven festival, is running a sew q***r social alongside the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt display at Wakefield Exchange on Saturday, 6th June.

We will be meeting in the food area (mezzanine floor) 4-5pm.

Although I suggest coming earlier to have a look round the exhibition and join in with the other events on the day! Check out the Wakefield Exchange website for more details about the exhibition.

For those of you who haven't been to a sew q***r social before, bring a project along, and you can chat or sit quietly while we create. We aim to be a relaxed social space. We welcome all LGBTQIA+ people. (Free event!)

Woven is providing some materials, and I will be bringing some along too, so don't worry if you forget your project. It could be a good time to start your calico dress patch.....
