2024 wasn't as productive as in past years, but I did make several things that I've never made before. In 2025, I have several baking goals that include amonia cookies, almond crescents, Ukrainian Easter Bread, and Black Forest Cake.

A few people have asked, and I do bake throughout the year. If you'd like to order something, please let me know a week or so in advance. I can make lots of items and plan to post a lot more in 2025. If you have questions, you can always send me a message. Happy 2025!

My grandma and I have been reminiscing a lot over the last few weeks about past Christmases.

The two of us were always trying something new or different even when I was three years old. It always makes me laugh because I'm convinced that my grandma thinks that I can make just about anything because of it. She mentions things to me in passing, knowing that I will end up dropping off whatever it is to her by the end of the week. She's also given me a few ideas for 2025, which include a few older recipes.

Over the next couple of days, I'm excited to rest and take in the last few days of 2024. Stay tuned for a little bit of baking mid-week next week.

I made way too many frosted orange cookies. Is anyone interested in a dozen or assorted three dozen cookie boxes? Pick-up would be tomorrow, Saturday, December 21st. Assorted boxes have a mixture of pecan tassies, orange cookies, peanut butter blossoms, m&m, and raspberry thumbprints. All three dozen boxes are $35, and one dozen frosted orange cookies are $13.

Other items that I have available are spiced gingerbread loaves, fruitcakes (rum flavored with dried cherries, apples, dried apricots, dates, and almonds), cranberry bread, and cranberry pound cake. All of those items are 10 dollars and are available for pick up on December 20th, 21st, and 22nd.

Holiday scone flavors are chocolate peppermint, cranberry cardamom, chocolate orange, and spiced pear.

My available types are thumbprints (raspberry, cherry, apricot, or blueberry), Peanut Butter Blossoms, pecan tassies, Pizelles (anise, almond, or vanialla), classic chocolate chip, sugar cookies(unfrosted, or finished with sugar), orange frosted, or eggnog snickerdoodles. One of my favorite things from childhood was getting breakfast out. There was something about a cold morning before going Christmas shopping or on a short trip. I always loved cinnamon raisin biscuits from Hardee's. There's was something delcious about the plump, juicy raisins and the spicy sweet cinnamon flavors. I was told last week that when I teach, I make it look so effortless. While I appreciated the compliment, what most people don't realize is that my job is incredibly stressful. I can't think of a time in recent years that I wasn't constantly lesson planning or coming up with new stuff for my students to do. Another goal of mine during the holidays and weeks leading up to them is to relieve stress by baking. It has always helped me so much in the past. These are some of my baking goals.

Cranberries don't seem to get a ton of love even though they are a holiday staple. It seems like we make (or open and slice) cranberry sauce each Thanksgiving, and then it ends there. I've decided to challenge myself this year to make new cranberry recipes each week over the next month. Bright, sweet, and spicy, these cranberry cardamom muffins are amazing with a cup of coffee.

With Easter rapidly approaching, I thought that I would mention that I am selling East bread $6.00 a nest. The eggs are natural and not dyed. Poppyseed and apricot rolls are $10. Carrot budt cakes, lemon bundt cakes, and key lime bundt cakes are also available for $35. Strawberry cakes are $25. Rugelach and Poptart cookies are also available along with ladylocks.
