I couldn’t believe what I bought yesterday
— Beets, with leaves!!!
It is the first time I saw such two nice bulbs of beets with leaves. I had the leaves with my noodle for lunch, then I cooked the bulbs with skin (it would be better to steam them but there are not many kitchen tools here). Then I diced them and it is ready to eat as salad, or make soup!
I tasted during cutting, they are so sweet with nice fragrant! Love it!!

Dinner tonight — I did not need to cook, just mixed and plated with the food 😅
** Chinese Yam and Nattō Salad with Ankimo **

Ankimo is steamed Monkfish Liver, listed at number 32 of The World’s 50 Best Foods complied by CNN.

I saw Ankimo at supermarket this morning and never had it before. As I know it is fish liver, I am sure it would not taste bad. It has a very smooth texture and dedicate flavour, with the attached momiji-oroshi (grated Daikon with Ponzu) it taste so great!
