Art, sculpture and objets are intrinsic to how a space gains depth and identity. They evoke storytelling that furniture alone cannot achieve.

Some clients come with an existing collection, which I integrate into the scheme so it feels considered rather than incidental. Others prefer a more collaborative process, sourcing pieces themselves and refining selections together, or asking me to curate on their behalf.
As illustrated in these images from a selection of mountain homes I’ve designed, the result is a home that feels layered and personal, whether collected over time or sourced together as part of the process.

Replacing an unused shelving unit with a wardrobe designed to read as part of the architecture.
Extending the nib and continuing the cornice allowed it to sit properly within the room at my Kensington project.

For this alpine apartment, the brief was to create a clean, white kitchen that could handle real chalet life — a place for cooking, working and gathering.

We tested multiple layouts and ultimately designed a peninsula rather than a freestanding island. It offers the same social benefits, while increasing storage and worktop space — a practical advantage in mountain apartments where every square metre counts.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The timber ceiling brings warmth and a sense of chalet character to balance the crisp white cabinetry, while also allowing for discreet integrated lighting — essential for those early powder mornings and cosy dinners after a long day on the mountain.

Closing out the year with gratitude for the projects and the people who made it so rewarding.
Designing someone’s home isn’t just about materials or layouts — it’s about trust and understanding how people want to live. This year brought collaborations that sharpened my thinking, experience that furthered my journey as a designer and moments that reminded me why I care so much about getting the details right.
Looking forward to sharing more in the year ahead.
Happy New Year 🤍✨

At this Verbier project, the client had already purchased the rug, so the scheme was built around it.
I instinctively felt the sofas should be light and softly textured to keep the space calm and inviting. The colour palette was then pulled directly from the rug, reappearing in the armchairs, sofa piping and cushions.
Layers of mohair, wool, velvet and sheepskin add depth and warmth without clutter, while the coffee table grounds the room with its barn wood finish paired with bronze.
This is how I like to work — responding to what’s already there with a considered, material-led approach, letting one strong piece set the direction and building from there.

AFTER → BEFORE
A favourite chalet project revisited. Lighter, brighter and more contemporary, yet without losing its traditional rustic charm. This living room began as a dark, heavy space; now it’s a warm, modern alpine interior with layered textures and distinctive pieces.
