At Art Basel 2026, The Living Fragment: Enea Tree Museum at Art Basel transformed the Messe Basel courtyard into a living landscape inspired by the Enea Tree Museum in Rapperswil-Jona.

Bringing together rescued specimen trees, curated planting and handcrafted elements, the installation created a place for pause, reflection and a deeper appreciation of nature within the dynamic context of the fair. Rooted in Enea’s philosophy of viewing trees as living sculptures, the space invited visitors to experience landscape as an art form in itself.

The landscape installation was enriched by handcrafted wooden objects by Riccardo Monte and bespoke rugs by Maana Studios × Enea Carpets, whose natural materials and artisanal character deepened the sensory experience of the space.

In the Enea Lounge, the Geoffrey Bawa Collection by Phantom Hands embodied a shared appreciation for craftsmanship and timeless design, reflecting Bawa’s enduring philosophy of bringing architecture and nature into harmony.

For Art Basel 2026, Maana Studios joins Enea Outside In with a collection of outdoor furniture crafted from recycled PET — where material innovation meets timeless design language.

Rooted in sustainability, tactile simplicity, and a conscious approach to living outdoors, the collection explores how discarded materials can be transformed into enduring objects with warmth, texture, and purpose.

Presented within Enea’s immersive installation, Maana Studios brings a dialogue between circular design, craftsmanship, and atmosphere — creating spaces that feel both contemporary and deeply connected to nature.

For Art Basel 2026, Enea Outside In collaborates with Phantom Hands to present a curated selection of furniture inspired by the timeless legacy of Geoffrey Bawa — the pioneer of Tropical Modernism, whose work dissolved the boundaries between architecture, landscape, and interior living.

Rooted in craftsmanship, material honesty, and a deep sensitivity to place, the collection reflects Bawa’s philosophy of creating spaces that breathe with nature rather than stand apart from it.

Presented within Enea’s immersive installation, the dialogue between landscape, design, and atmosphere unfolds as a living expression of tropical modernity.

Drawn to the quiet monumentality of Hans Josephsohn’s work. His sculptures feel almost unearthed rather than created — raw, tactile forms carrying the weight of time and memory.

What I love most is the honesty of his process: every surface holds the trace of touch and material itself. Josephsohn reduced the human figure to its essence, creating works that communicate entirely through presence.
