In 2008, Chenglong Group in Hong Kong invested heavily in the acquisition of Italian brand cate-maker.
In 2009, Chenglong Group injected a capital of 30.58 million yuan to establish its subsidiary, Ningbo Cate-Maker Intelligent Kitchen Co., Ltd. and named the company "Cate-Maker" in Chinese translation of "cate-maker" Special create [cate-maker] brand.
Cate means food, and Maker means maker, so Cate-Maker means the maker of food.
