° A Collection of Contemporary Ceramics inspired by Cypriot cultural history, archeology, geology and natural landscape, exhibited at Diatehnon Arts and Culture in downtown Limassol °
"Cyprus, with its millennia-spanning history, extraordinary abundance of artefacts, and remarkable cultural diversity, offers an inexhaustibly rich field of inquiry. Across successive periods, the island has occupied a distinctive position within the Mediterranean-at times a place of encounter, exchange, production, and cultural transformation.
The material traces of these histories are both abundant and quietly eloquent, revealing the complex relationships between people, place, technology, belief, and the movement of ideas.
The island’s geology and topography offer an equally compelling language of colour, texture, and form.
Inspired by this dialogue with the island’s cultural history and natural landscape, we transcribe fragments of Cyprus's archaeological and geological heritage into contemporary ceramics"
