INALCO: why we see this porcelain stoneware as a material for a whole interior
At a meeting with an Inalco representative, we looked at various lines: standard porcelain stoneware, mirrored surfaces, translucent textures. For us as designers, the brand’s main value lies in the fact that a single collection can work in different thicknesses and formats — floor, wall, countertop, island, semi-open areas. This creates coherence, where materials don’t compete with each other but come together into a single image.
Where we recommend using Inalco in Cyprus:
1. Kitchen-living areas and open kitchens. MDi Induction is integrated directly into the surface: the heating zone is invisible, the countertop remains seamless, with no cutout for a cooktop. The kitchen feels like a unified space, without unnecessary details or seams.
2. Living room — terrace. Large format and minimal seams create a visual transition from interior to sea. In Cyprus this works better than small tiles: less fragmentation, more air and light.
3. Terraces, pool area, semi-open zones. Here we recommend 20 mm and anti-slip Grip+ surfaces: sun, salt and temperature swings are standard exposure in Cyprus.
4. Bathrooms. One material for floor and walls, sometimes for the countertop. Large format contributes to a sense of quiet luxury.
5. Feature walls. Mirrored and textured surfaces — yes, but locally: entryway, end wall, niche with lighting.
