Discover Prints is all about antique prints. We provide a curated stream of all the beautiful antique lithograph we love. www.discoverprints.com

My love for antique prints stems from the time I spent at the Kristineberg Marine Station in Sweden where I was working as a marine biologist. In my free time I sat in the research library, pouring over 18th and 19th century scientific illustrations. After my stint as a marine biologist, I spent five years teaching high school physics and biology. I used contemporary scientific illustrations in my classroom, and continued to add to my collection of antique prints and rare books. At some point I decided to pursue print dealing, and turned my passion into a full time profession. I’ve been collecting, researching, and selling for ten years now, and don’t plan to stop anytime soon. I’m still intrigued by the beauty of the illustrations from the naturalists of the 19th century, and hope that you enjoy these time capsules as much as I do.

Howdy! In case there is any confusion, I'd like to clear one thing up... If I'm working, you can always bring your dog to the booth and let me hang out with it while you browse our prints (or if you want to let me have your dog altogether that's fine too).
I had a lovely time with this pup at Bergmannstr Festival last weekend, thanks to everyone that visited!

See you tomorrow at Kollwitz, and Sunday at Arkona and Mauerpark!

Hey friends, come visit us at Bergmannstraße Fest today and tomorrow! The booth is at the corner of Nositzstr and Bergmannstr, and we've got a really lovely collection with us.
See you there!

Here’s another What The Heck for your Wednesday!
We sell a lot of prints of animals which I’m not convinced actually exist… A prime example is the lovely Anthomedusae. The Anthomedusae (illustrated here by the venerable Ernst Haeckel), is a marine invertebrate in the order of Hydrozoa (a group of mostly salt-water dwelling small predatory animals, sometimes individual, but often colonial), closely related to the wonderful Siphonophorae. Getting too deep into the classification of these sorts of creatures usually sets my head spinning, so I’ll keep it short and let the print speak for itself.
