THE DEATH VALLEY, 2026
Model: Princess Isabella - George Benson

I immediately knew that I wanted to preserve this feeling and materialize it in one of my guitars. During the trip, I used a color chart to collect the multiple unique colors of the sand from different locations throughout Death Valley and held it towards the sky to guess the correct blue.

Because the back of the guitar remained sky blue – reflecting the absolutely cloudless desert sky above me that day.

HE DEATH VALLEY, 2026
Model: Princess Isabella - George Benson

My Story behind this Instrument:

Over the past decades, I visited Las Vegas many times, yet somehow never made it to Death Valley. In April 2024, during a business trip, I decided to stay one extra day. I rented a cool convertible and finally drove into the desert.

The experience was far beyond anything I had imagined. The endless scale of the valley, the overwhelming heat, the surreal atmosphere of Badwater Basin, the bizarre rock formations, and the almost science-fiction-like silence of the landscape completely drew me in.

THE GRAND CRU TRIO, 2026
SOLD (private collector)

THE KALKOFEN with the Instrument Identification Number #2543 is the second of the three Instruments that build THE GRAND CRU TRIO. All three instruments are handpainted one of a kind Masterpieces.

The idea for the three instruments, THE GRAND CRU TRIO, was born on my almost daily jogging route. I run from the edge of my hometown into the beautiful vineyards, passing three exceptional sites: Grainhübel, Kalkofen, and Kieselberg. These vineyards are classified as Große Gewächse. A Großes Gewächs (often abbreviated as GG) is a prestigious designation and the highest classification level for dry wines within the Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter (VDP) in Germany. It is a quality seal that identifies top-tier dry wines from the finest German vineyard sites. The color palettes of the instruments are inspired by the plants, lichens, and the colors of the soil found in the respective vineyards.
