Instead of simply replacing a filter inductor, they precisely tune the coil by unwinding it to achieve the optimal electrical and sonic performance.
This step is essential, as any remaining noise from the regulator would otherwise reach the DAC boards directly.
The goal of these modifications is lower noise, cleaner power delivery, and maximum sonic transparency — exactly what a processor at this level deserves.
