If I could pick a category to source for the rest of my life, it would be lamps. There is something unmatched about an object that is both functional and inherently sculptural. For an interior to look curated, lamps should serve as pieces of art and have a presence during the day, so they don’t disappear when switched off. Ideally, they occupy a significant amount of space and play with interesting proportions. My favourite designs balance soft and hard materials and are treated as collectible rather than decoration.
I am introducing my favourite sculptural lamps in my newest blog. Link is in my bio.

The client wanted a warm, summery vibe using pink, orange, and red in a mature and curated way. I came across an image of a moth, with colours of a summer sunset and I thought that this is exactly the essence I wanted to capture: colourful, soft, with a hard natural contrast.
We integrated a fireplace with seating and display, using vertically stacked tiles to add height and allowing future earthy color pairings. The fireplace’s sharp lines are balanced with rounder and softer furniture shapes.
To maintain an architectural look but still commit to a touch of summer, I included rattan, and offset it by a warm rug and velvet as well as soft flowery drapes. Brazilian vintage armchairs ensure the look isn’t too outdoorsy.
The split complementary scheme was achieved by adding a touch of greenery with a dragon tree and a light green onyx coffee table.

Glass is one of those materials many people hesitate to use in furniture (hint: fingerprints). But avoiding it means missing out on something quite special.
There are so many artists working with glass in a way that turns this fragile material into sculptural, almost weightless forms. It doesn’t just reflect light and visually open up a space, depending on the finish, it can also introduce subtle texture.
In my work, I use glass to contrast softer textiles or heavier, more grounded materials. It brings a certain clarity and elegance. I also like incorporating coloured glass, which is a restrained way to introduce colour without overwhelming a space.
Whether it’s a glass divider, a coffee table, or a delicate object that sits somewhere between function and art, there are many ways to work with it.
Here are eight pieces I’ve come across recently that I keep coming back to. Most are handmade or vintage and each one is unique. All stores and designers are tagged in the post.
Let me know your favourite in the comments!
