Just finished reading Keith McNally's memoir and found it deeply touching.

It brought back memories of early trips to New York, as a young architect looking for inspiration and working on our first hospitality projects. The interiors of his legendary restaurants like Balthazar, Pastis and Schiller's felt completely effortless, as if they had always been there.

That is exactly what McNally understood so well. A space that feels right from the first moment. 👏🏼

Best of Interior 2026.

Our Tree House is featured in the new Callwey book.

Set on a historic park estate above the Isar in Harlaching, this penthouse lives among the treetops. Open, flowing rooms merge with the green of the Isarauen. It feels like living in a tree house.

We developed it closely with our client, for his parents, an older couple with a deep connection to nature. Oak, quartzite, bronze and linen bring warmth through their simplicity, texture and patina.

Every detail serves daily life. Built-in furniture and quiet, smart details keep the space calm and functional. One room works as both study and guest room, with a ceiling-mounted bed, integrated storage and a custom desk.

Honest, warm design made for the people who live in it.

Thank you to Callwey for the recognition.

"We have to feel our way into the unknown. We design because we are searching, not because we know."
Otl Aicher

A quote by Otl Aicher, the visionary designer who shaped the visual identity of Munich 72.
Every project begins with more questions than answers.
We document, we test ideas, we search, and slowly the design takes shape.
Good design is not knowing the answer from the start. It is the search for it.

What we’re reading for research and inspiration.

Munich ’72 didn’t just define an event. It set a design standard that still feels very relevant today.

Two books on our desk right now:

Olympia München 72, Elisabeth Spieker

Otl Aicher, Winfried Nerdinger

It‘s official: we’re thrilled to announce that we´ve been commissioned to design the interior of the entrance hall and observation deck at Munich´s iconic Olympiaturm.

As part of a major renovation, we’re rethinking these spaces with great respect for the 1972 Olympic legacy and a clear focus on today’s visitor experience.
