Two absolutely breathtaking original Peter Maxwell Ewart (1918–2001) lithographs from our collection have found a new home in Canada.

First, the collector acquired the iconic Canadian Rockies poster. But once he experienced the craftsmanship, colours and depth of the original lithograph in person, he returned for another masterpiece — this time a more minimalistic Canadian skiing poster.

What we love most is that these works were not purchased as investments, but out of a genuine passion for Canadian skiing, travel history and timeless design that he also wanted to pass on to his kids in the future.

Each original vintage poster we offer is truly one of a kind. Beyond their rarity, these lithographs carry a unique story, exceptional preservation and an authenticity that simply cannot be recreated — even by similar posters on the market.

Beautiful original Japanese travel poster from the 1930s, showing the famous Osaka Castle – reproduced in a colorful lithograph with the German title “Das Osaka-Schloss”. The poster measures 69.5 x 106 cm and is a fine example of the aesthetics and technical skill that characterized Japan’s graphic design in the interwar period.

Experience a rare piece of travel history with this original vintage poster, designed in 1933 by artist JR Charton for the Federated Malay States Railway. With its distinctive style and clear message, the poster was created to entice ocean travelers to choose train over ship – and take the journey across lush and exotic Malaya.

The poster advertises a discounted first-class fare and highlights the route from Singapore in the south to Padang Besar in the north, via Penang – a journey that was considered both comfortable and adventurous at the time.

A contemporary newspaper called Charton’s works “extremely effective” in their ability to arouse a desire to travel - and this poster is no exception. It is not just a work of art, but a piece of authentic colonial history, telling of a time when train operations were the very symbol of progress and modernity in Southeast Asia.
