Seto Ōhashi is Japan’s longest bridge, connecting the islands of Honshu and Shikoku. The bridge inspired the Seto Stool by Keiji Takeuchi, lending the design its distinctive H-structure and its name. Crafted in solid oak and canvas, the stool has a graceful, expressive profile that brings together heritage and modernity.

The Islets Table series by Maria Bruun is a precise design with a strong identity, based on a simple construction where details are kept to a minimum. Formerly home to the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, the building was where Koch worked and developed his architectural practice. Around him were pieces by some of the designers who shaped Danish modernism: Kaare Klint’s Klint Chair, Børge Mogensen’s J39 Chair and Koch’s own bookcase system.⁠

In Hannam-dong, Seoul, Chompi is a poke restaurant designed by 817 Design Space, led by Kyubum Lim, exploring clarity through material restraint and controlled daylight.

Throughout the restaurant, seating takes on different roles, from brief counter meals to shared experiences around community-oriented tables. The J39 Mogensen Chair adds a sense of warmth and familiarity to the open, airy interior, complementing the movement, colour, and texture of the visible kitchen while anchoring the space with its timeless character.

The Klint Chair is a contemporary yet inherently classic piece of design history. Well-proportioned, simple and elegant, it is defined by exceptional craftsmanship and a long tradition of appreciation for its form.

It is fitting, then, that designer and architect John Pawson has chosen the chair for both his studio and home. Its qualities of “proportion, scale, volume, junction, repetition, material and surface” reflect the same principles that guide his own approach to architecture.

Combining the comfort of a chaise longue with the sociability of a conversation sofa, Børge Mogensen designed the Spoke-Back Sofa as his interpretation of the ‘furniture type of the future’. Its light, solid wood construction and removable cushions allow the sofa to be renewed over time, a testament to Mogensen’s vision of furniture designed to adapt and endure.

Inspired by the character of whitewashed Andalusian villages and the restraint of Japanese architecture, Konventum in North Zealand is a landmark of Scandinavian architecture.

Designed by architects Ebbe and Karen Clemmensen together with Jarl Heger, the building was conceived as a place for learning, dialogue, and community.

The same spirit is reflected throughout the interiors, where carefully chosen furniture has become part of the building's identity, ageing gracefully alongside the architecture.

Børge Mogensen's Spanish Dining Armchairs bring warmth, tactility and the richness of an acquired patina, reinforcing the enduring character of the space.
