A light in every city

From Copenhagen to Tokyo, the lighting principles of Louis Poulsen have long become a global philosophy. And for this September, it became evident just how much as a creative city campaign was activated across the world, travelling all the way to Tokyo, for the launch of the new PH 5 Opal and the new colours of the PH 2/1 Table Lamp and PH 3/2 Table Lamp.

When Poul Henningsen designed the first piano lamp in 1931, he added a globular counterweight to the curved stem for extra stability. Not only to support the weight of the shades, but to make sure the lamp stayed in place no matter how enthusiastic the pianist.

The new PH 1/1 Piano Table Lamp takes the original features and functionality into a more contemporary setting – and not just for pianos.
