A Masterclass in Modern Family Hygge

We are incredibly proud to reveal our latest living room transformation: a bespoke, pet-friendly sanctuary designed for game nights, everyday comfort, and modern Danish living.

For this Copenhagen house, the challenge was balancing the home’s rich, dark wooden flooring with a need for light, social warmth, and durable functionality. Moving away from cool, clashing tones, our design narrative focused on grounding 20m2 space with earthy warmth, low-profile storage, and an open circulation flow.

The Design Highlights:

- The Tactile Anchor: The modular „Teddy” sofa from OMHU in a rich rust tone serves as the grounding center, engineered for both board game sessions and everyday family relaxation.

- Cohesive Color Balance: A soothing backdrop in Dove Blue and Classic Blue from Flügger tames visual noise, softening the space while beautifully complementing the dark wood floors.

- Streamlined Storage & Flow: A low horizontal bank of storage conceals games and media, freeing the 4-meter wall above for a scaled gallery display that adds height without cluttering the floor.

- Contrast & Warmth: A generous cream-white rug creates a plush, light-filled „island” that grounds the seating zone and lifts the dark flooring beneath.
