Mediterranean Family Hygge in Copenhagen

We are incredibly proud to fully reveal our latest finalized living room project - a masterclass in balancing warm, sun-drenched textures with the effortless, child-friendly comfort of a modern Danish family hub.

For this Copenhagen home, the challenge was beautiful: how do you design a high-functioning, joyful space for a family with a young child, while seamlessly weaving in their most beloved pre-owned furniture?

The answer lies in light-physics, smart zoning, and the perfect tension between cool tones and warm Mediterranean hues.

The Design Highlights:

• The Shared Family Anchor: A deep, structured sofa from ILVA | Bolig & Indretning in a rich, dark blue-grey that acts as a grounding visual centerpiece - built to handle the daily realities of play and family movie nights.

• Warm Light & Balance: Engineered to soften the intense southern and western afternoon sun, we paired a dusty rose palette from Jotun LADY with a soft off-white base, beautifully warming up the client’s pre-existing light oak furniture and grey marble table.

• Perimeter Flow & Storage: By keeping high-traffic pathways completely unobstructed, we aligned substantial shelving and the client’s wooden bookcase from IKEA Danmark along the walls, keeping the center of the room feeling incredibly expansive.
