NEW WORKS

NEW WORKS New Works presents a collection at the intersection between old and new. Light and dark. Design and art.

Our work pays homage to the strong Scandinavian history of craftsmanship and materiality, whilst challenging the contemporary forms of today. Through collaboration with International acknowledged designers, we add a spice to our scandinavian heritage, which we respect, but want to challenge. Our approach is heavily influenced by our experiments with natural materials and geometric forms, giving our work a nice sculptural touch. We strive to build objects that are not just comfortable to sit in, but also interesting to look at.

Unit takes a modernist approach to storage, pairing clean lines with a distinctly architectural expression. Designed by Jonas Ravlo Stokke and made in Norway by Eskoleia, the series is shaped from folded steel with a focus on proportion, precision and function. Available in six units and 25 colours, each made to order.

Our Journal: Notes on Light

A room is never quite the same room twice in a day. As daylight moves across a space, colours shift, shadows lengthen, and materials take on different qualities. Marble catches the morning sun, wood absorbs it, while glass reflects and passes light on. As the day fades, individual light sources begin to shape the room, allowing some areas to come forward while others remain in shadow.

In our latest Journal piece, Notes on Light, we explore how light influences the way we experience materials, objects and the spaces we live in.

Inspired by the gentle movement of nature, the Sway Rug brings a subtle sense of rhythm to the room. Its irregular weave creates a soft, bouclé-like texture, adding tactility and warmth to the floor. Available in two sizes and three neutral tones, Sway is designed to sit naturally within a variety of interiors.

Our Rug Collection

A rug can change the way a room feels. It softens the space, introduces texture and creates a surface that brings furniture and objects together. The New Works rug collection explores these qualities through two distinct designs: the chunky, tactile Knot Rug by Lotta Agaton and the subtly rhythmic Sway Rug, each offering its own way of adding warmth, texture and depth to an interior.

Rooted in Lotta Agaton’s connection to the sea, the Knot Rug takes its cue from the coiled ropes found on her sailing boat. Woven from soft yet sturdy rope, its generous texture brings warmth, weight and tactility to a room. Here, the rug is seen in Agaton’s own showroom, where its natural materiality becomes part of the considered, lived-in atmosphere she creates.

Our Journal: In Conversation with Lotta

There is nothing accidental about the way Lotta Agaton takes on a room, though it never feels calculated either. Beauty matters, certainly, but never at the expense of the life unfolding around it. She is, above all, a noticer, attuned to atmosphere, texture, and the decisions that make a space feel considered rather than staged.

In conversation, Agaton reflects on the influences that have shaped her instincts: Modernism, natural materials, books, the sea, and the elusive art of knowing when the work is done.

The Atlas Stool expands into a new expression in high-gloss lacquer. The new three-legged version introduces a circular seat, offering a softer interpretation while retaining the characteristic offset legs and generous proportions of the original. Designed to stand on its own or pair with the four-legged version, the two forms create a considered interplay of shapes, colour and material.
