Hollowing out the elm spoon with a 65mm ‘twca’ which is an oversized hooked knife, with a long handle. A more specialised tool, which can be one amazing tool if you know how to use it.

I use it regularly, as it has a great wide curved blade, which makes a great cut, for open spoon bowls.

It’s also great for working with both of your hands when using a shave horse or a vice.

Twca is from the legendary

What would you prefer: Black walnut or bright maple for pairs of salad spoons?

I’m thinking about making these as one of my priorities for this years summer. And I’m very interested in which one you would prefer. Feel free to share your thoughts and vote! ♥️🌞

30 butterknives heading to the Copenhagen based for their opening here in April.

Hand carved in kiln dried oak and damn, that was a tough nut to crack, but the end result is just really good I think.

One of two orders, and first bigger batch I’ve made since my brain surgeries last year. Won’t return to anything like the good old days, this is only when it’s possible in my calendar, and when I have the energy for it.

This is never the less a win for me, and I’m very happy with this batch 🌞

I really cherish one of the many great things about spoon carving, and greenwood working: that you can work in your living room all day, without making any sawdust and other harmful things that’ll end up in your lungs.

Just a some razor sharp tools, and maybe a shave horse, and you’re good to go.

Sometimes I really miss the wood turning days, where I knocked out bowls, plates and vases en masse. But it was a mess I tell you!

Now, I got shavings around my workspace in my livingroom and it takes me 2 min to tidy up and it’s all gone.

Cheers 🌞

First spoons of 2026, and more to come🌳

I’ve carved my first spoons in 2026. I really didn’t thought it would take me so many weeks, but there we have the never ending battle between intentions and actions.

Nevertheless, here’s the first pair of spoons in elm. A bit more tough than maple, but still makes a super finish and strong spoons.

I’m already working on more, both salad spoons, coffee and tea spoons. And of course cooking spoons as well.

Please let me know if you’re interested in my work 💪🏻🌞

Coat hanger made in oak, with hand carved pegs. Screws hidden with oak plugs, and sanded flush with the oak board. I really like this!

Been awfully silent lately, but will talk more about that later. For the time being, I’m settling, started a few spoon projects and cheese slicers, and what else that will coming my direction.

If you got any ideas or commissions, please let me know 🌞

October autumn vibes, bend or ‘crooked’ piece of apple wood and spoon carving, when I’m not working. Trying to get the best out of my mind and time, with both my kids and myself.

I’ve been dealing with a lot of headaches lately, which is primarily due to work, as I’ve been increasing my working hours to 6 hours per shift, which is a major milestone!

I love my job as an operator at Novo Nordisk, and it has been very important for me to get back, and prove to myself that I’m still able to work, and to keep working hard.

I’m still prioritising my workout routine, to keep my health and head in the best shape. And doing the best I can at home, to keep the engines running, though I’m still struggling with mental energy and energy management.

I’m also trying to continue to get a better overview of the day’s tasks in general, and challenging myself with some things I’m still affected by, and it is a bit difficult when you’ve been exposed to the brain trauma I suffered.

Oh well, life is good and I’m here 🌞🫶🏻

Signature spoon for tea, coffee or jam, approx. 20 cm. 200 DKK + shipping.

This one is from a local felled maple, which makes amazing spoons because of the density and strength. Carved while green and finished dry which makes a super silky smooth surface, when carved with razor sharp knives.

I also got black walnut in stock which is incredibly nice and beautiful but also a bit more expensive, that’s 250 DKK + shipping.
