Taking care of your scented candle properly helps it burn evenly, last longer, and smell stronger. Here are some key tips:
1. Trim the Wick
Before each burn, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (6mm) to prevent excessive smoke, soot, and uneven burning.
2. First Burn is Important
Let the candle melt all the way to the edges the first time you light it. This prevents tunneling, ensuring an even burn every time.
3. Avoid Drafts
Keep your candle away from fans, open windows, or air vents, as drafts can cause uneven burning and excessive flickering.
4. Don’t Burn Too Long
Limit burn time to 3–4 hours at a time to prevent overheating and excessive soot buildup.
5. Keep the Wax Clean
Remove any dust, debris, or burnt wick pieces from the wax pool to maintain a clean burn.
6. Use a Snuffer
Blow out the candle gently or use a candle snuffer to avoid wick movement and wax splatter.
7. Store Properly
Keep your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and melting.
8. Repurpose the Jar
Once the candle is finished, clean out the jar and reuse it for storage or decoration.🩷
