I'm revisiting old dragon friends through watercolour layers and textured paper. While the world burns I retreat into pigments and hours of hyperfocus on scales and spots, and I refuse to feel guilty about it.

Very slowly back to watercolour after this winter's b*rnout, with dearest familiars like this dragon who found a lucky one πŸ€
Returning to what you love but abandoned don't go smoothly sometimes, and I also discovered I don't enjoy drawing with pastels anymore. I want fluidity of watercolour to guide me, the randomness of spots to help me to release expectations, and the texture of paper to interact with water and pigment in a very tangible way, impossible to reproduce by a i.
This spring is sleepy and windy, but we have first crocuses and sprouts all around the city.
I hope your spring is kind to you, and would be thankful to hear how do you feel about this green buddy πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š
