FIRST OFFICIAL WEEK AT HOUSE OF MURRAY HQ. 🥹🤎

And just like that… WE’VE MOVED IN!

After months of designing, building, planning, changing our minds (a few times 😂) and bringing our new HQ to life, the House of Murray team have officially spent our first full working week in our new home.

And naturally…

Our beautiful new marble desk that we’ve been obsessing over for months? Already covered in plans, paperwork, books, material samples and approximately 400 things that apparently need our attention. 😂

But honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Because as much as we’ve designed this space to be beautiful, we’ve also designed it to be WORKED IN.

A place where ideas become plans, plans become projects and projects become beautiful homes.

And seeing the team finally working together in the space we’ve spent so long creating feels like such a milestone.

We’re still adding those final finishing touches before welcoming everyone through the doors, but…

WE’RE ALMOST READY TO ANNOUNCE OUR OFFICIAL PUBLIC OPENING DATE. 👀

And we cannot WAIT to show you everything.

Here’s to our first week, many more to come, and hopefully keeping that marble desk clear for at least five minutes next week. 😂🤎

EPISODE 8 — FROM RENDER TO REALITY 🛠️

A beautiful render means nothing if nobody has thought about how to actually build it.

In Episode 8 of our Renovation Guide, Megan talks through the stage where all the planning, layouts, selections and design decisions have to become a real home.

This is where the renovation moves into demolition, construction, plumbing, electrics, ceilings, flooring, tiling, kitchens, bathrooms, joinery, lighting and all the final details that bring the design together.

And every part affects the next.

A wall position affects electrics and plumbing.
The kitchen affects sockets, lighting and flooring.
Bathroom layouts affect drainage and waterproofing.
Joinery affects walls, measurements and lighting.

That’s why the build can’t just be a collection of separate trades doing their own thing.

It has to be coordinated as one project, with one clear vision.

At House of Murray, we carry the design direction right through the construction stage so the concept doesn’t get lost once the site gets busy.

Because for us, the render isn’t the finish line. It’s where the build begins.

Follow along for Episode 9, where we’re talking about what you actually have to do as the client during all of this — and what you don’t.

A LITTLE TRIP OUT OF THE OFFICE… 🤎✨

And straight into the world of beautiful bathrooms, new collections and LOTS of design inspiration. 👀

We were invited to join for an exclusive look at their upcoming 2027/2028 collection, and of course, we weren’t going to miss that!

From beautiful new colours and finishes to statement basins and matching toilets, there was so much to get excited about.

And you know how much we LOVE a bathroom where every single detail has been considered.

One of our favourite things about Fossil Natura is the ability to carry colour throughout the entire bathroom because why settle for a beautiful coloured basin when you can have the toilet to match?! 😍

Even more excitingly, Fossil Natura will be part of our new House of Murray HQ, meaning you’ll soon be able to see some of their beautiful products up close when you visit us.

A huge thank you to for inviting us, showing us what’s coming next and putting on such a lovely event.

We left with plenty of inspiration, a few new favourites and approximately 100 more bathroom ideas we now want to bring to life. 😂

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS. 👀🤎

Little by little, House of Murray HQ is becoming everything we imagined it would be.

The textures, the materials, the finishes, the lighting… all those tiny decisions we’ve spent months obsessing over are finally coming together.

And while we’re keeping some of our favourite details under wraps until the big reveal, we couldn’t resist sharing a few little glimpses. ✨

Because this was never going to be just another showroom.

We wanted to create a space that feels like stepping inside the world of House of Murray. Somewhere you can experience our designs, discover beautiful materials, explore our collections and see exactly what makes a home feel considered from beginning to end.

The final details are falling into place.

And the countdown to opening our doors is officially on. 🥹

Opening date announcement coming soon… stay tuned. 👀

A LITTLE MOMENT OF PRIDE. 🤎📖

There’s something quite special about seeing a project you’ve spent months designing, planning and bringing to life beautifully presented in the pages of a magazine.

Our Project Cala has been featured in the November edition of Ireland’s Homes Interiors & Living, with a full home feature titled From Belfast to the Costa Blanca.

From the very first design concepts to the final finishing touches, Cala was a project filled with personality, beautiful materials, bold details and a wonderful mix of Mediterranean living and Irish warmth.

Seeing the finished home photographed, published and its story shared with readers beyond Spain is something we’re incredibly proud of.

A lovely milestone for House of Murray, and a reminder of just how far we’ve come. 🤎

Thank you to Ireland's Homes Interiors & Living for such a beautiful feature.

If you’d like to read the full article, head over to Ireland's Homes Interiors & Living on Instagram, where you’ll find the link to the online magazine in their bio.

PROJECT ALBA | FROM DEMOLITION TO CONSTRUCTION 🏗️

One phase complete. Onto the next!

Demolition at Project Alba is officially finished, and we’re now moving into the construction phase.

Next up? Building the new walls and architectural arches, progressing with plumbing and electrical installations, and preparing the property for its transformation.

This is the stage where the plans start becoming reality, and we finally begin to see the new spaces take shape.

There’s a lot of work ahead, but we’re one step closer to bringing our vision for Project Alba to life. 🤎

Follow along for the transformation!

EPISODE 7 — BATHROOMS: SMALL ROOM, BIG DECISIONS 🤍

A bathroom might be one of the smallest rooms in the house…

but it can involve some of the biggest renovation decisions.

In Episode 7 of our Renovation Guide, Megan talks through how we approach bathroom design properly — starting with the layout, not the tile.

Where should the shower go?
Do we need a bath?
Can we create more storage?
Would a larger walk-in shower work better?
Where should the toilet and vanity sit?
Can we create a niche?
How should the lighting work?

Then there’s the practical side — plumbing, drainage, waterproofing, ventilation, electrics, sanitaryware, screens and making sure every finish actually works together.

And of course, the tile layout matters too. Because even the most beautiful tile can look wrong if the detailing hasn’t been properly planned.

At House of Murray, we design the bathroom as part of the whole home — then coordinate the selections, ordering and build so the finished room feels considered from every angle.

Because a bathroom renovation should feel simple for the client…

even when there’s a lot happening behind the scenes.

Follow along for Episode 8, where we’re talking about the moment the design stops being an idea and the build actually begins.
