This reel is a little glimpse into everything that happens behind the scenes.
One of the things I love most about creating something for an artist is that the process allows you to meet each other again in a completely different space. You may already know one another as friends, but suddenly you’re sharing ideas, references, fittings, last-minute changes, nerves, excitement… all the little moments that exist before anyone sees the final result. And somehow, that backstage world is always one of the most beautiful parts for me.
Creating the outfits for Jeff Darko and the band for the launch of his album, together with , was genuinely such a special gift.
I have believed deeply in Jeff for a very long time. Some people simply come into this world to shine, and he is one of them. He carries an incredibly intense light, and those of us lucky enough to have him in our lives get to experience that light very closely.
Seeing him on that stage, stepping into this new chapter, made me incredibly proud.
I hope this album and everything that comes with it goes beyond anything you could imagine. You deserve the world and more, Jeff.
And so much love and appreciation to the whole team surrounding him, to the band, to John, Lee and everyone working behind the scenes to make all of this happen. There is always an entire universe of people behind these moments.
