Me & my “wallpaper” 😉 I was playing around with a cheap little Hobby Lobby brush & some black paint last night while listening to a podcast, and this is what happened. It may not be everyone’s jam, but it’s fun & playful to me. 🤗 I didn’t want to pull down the shiplap & didn’t have time or money for wallpaper, so I made my own. Anyway, a fun, little sneak peek at the Airbnb primary bedroom refresh 💗

Have been itching to add a little color & a little whimsy to my mostly neutral Airbnb. I tend personally to veer towards neutral colors because they’re visually calming. Of course, I love adding visual interest by warming things up with lots of added texture. But here I’m stepping outside of my “neutral confort zone” & flexing my color muscles. It’s somewhat unfamiliar territory, but it has been fun. I’m sure I’ll get plenty wrong, but maybe along the way, I might get something right. 🎨💗

It’s time to take a little Boho out of the basement. I’d love to try some wallpaper, but the budget will only handle so much for now. In the meantime, I’ve decided a faux fireplace would be a fun addition.

The bathroom is going to get a little facelift as well by making the shelves built-in & adding some tile to the walls amongst a few more updates. Stay tuned for the lovely little changes to come 😊

My friend, Sydney Wigington (The Farm at Newell ) encouraged me this week, “Launching a dream of your heart is so intimidating, but chase it! You’ll be amazing!” I’m grateful not only for Sydney’s kind words, but also the urging of my dear friend, Cindy, at Buttercup Designs & my new friend, Hope, over at Demetria Designs, to go for it. So going for it, I am.

(Cue drumroll…)

Please allow me to introduce you to the launching of a dream of my heart…SG Designed Interiors.

SG = Sara Griggers
Designed Interiors = Because together we can make something beautiful.

But of course I did not get here all on my own, because it always takes community to bring the dream to life. Teamwork makes the dream work, yes?

So here is where I give a big shout out & big thanks to Josh & Brandy at Flipped Out Investments for the chance to hone my skills as a designer. I have had the privilege of partnering with them not only on a couple of flips, but several successful staging projects as well. They have also tasked me with the design inside & out of a current flip they’ve undertaken, from floor plan to final finishes. I have loved working with them & their team. These 2 are wonderful people doing beautiful things for their community.

And my dear brother, Myles, over at Myles Berrio-Hartfield & Real Estate Learning Community, cheers us ALL on to live out our full potential in doing all the good works God created for each of us to do. So thankful for him & his pouring into so many lives because he approaches everything from a place of abundance. “It is more blessed to give than to receive” is certainly his motto & I have benefited personally from his radical generosity.

Of course there are many, many more who have journeyed with me to bring me to this point & I couldn’t be more thankful for their presence & prayers in my life.

So here’s to the ✨New Year✨ and the ✨New Adventure✨ of breathing ✨New Life✨ into people & projects in 2025!
