Kind Of Cyan Our shop is about sharing our obsession with cyanotypes, a 19th-century photographic process. All ou If you have any questions, let us know!

The cyanotype process is one of the oldest in the history of photography, and during this digital revolution that we are experiencing, we feel the need to look back at a craft that is handmade, analogue, and using an all-natural light source: the sun! To give you some background info, our cyanotypes are made by coating high-quality watercolor paper with a light-sensitive chemical, to then be exposed in direct sunlight for several minutes using a photo negative to get the best image quality. The print is then washed and fixed, to stop the chemical reaction and prevent fading. What you get is an amazing, Prussian blue image, with absolutely no ink involved! We experiment with many kinds of images, be it from computer generated images of 3-d objects, to works from art history, to our own original illustrations. We also accept custom orders, so if you have a photo that you want as a cyanotype, give us a holler. As per us, our shop consists of a whopping two (2) people that do absolutely everything from our studio in Barcelona, Spain.
