This is the part that gets me every time.
Yes, I love the design work.
But the real joy is what happens after — when someone comes home, looks around, and feels good.
Settled. Supported. A little bit delighted.
Even when the process gets messy, this is the bit that makes my heart sing.

Back from three full, noisy, gorgeous, slightly feral weeks in NYC — and then my body promptly filed a formal complaint.

So I’ve been quieter here than planned.

I’m sharing May’s *Inside Conscious Design* newsletter in case it slipped by while I was out in the city / under a blanket / negotiating with my stomach.

Tiny housekeeping note: the Spring Reset workshop mentioned inside has already happened. Time did its thing. Rude, but fair.

But the heart of the piece still feels very alive for June:

Stop turning everything into a project.

Sometimes our homes need attention.
Sometimes they need completion.
And sometimes they need us to stop fussing, breathe, and let the room be a room.

The June newsletter will be back in its normal rhythm mid-month, with fresh studio notes, insider news, and whatever else this month decides to throw into the design soup.

Stay tuned.

By the time this arrives, I will be deep in the middle of my NYC trip — here since May 6th, soaking up the people, the city, the noise, the magic, and the very specific New York talent for making your nervous system feel like it has been plugged into a wall socket.

“The details are not the details. They make the design.”
— Charles Eames

And honestly? The same is true in Feng Shui.

It is rarely the whole house screaming for help.

Sometimes it is the chair in the wrong place.
The corner you keep avoiding.
The room that looks “fine” but somehow makes you feel like you forgot something important.

That is why I’m so happy to be teaching at the FREE IFSG Feng Shui Summit this Friday, May 15 at 2 PM EDT.

My session is called:

**The Room Read: A Repeatable 3-Lens Audit**

Which sounds fancy, but really it means this:

I’m going to show you how to walk into a room and stop guessing.

Not “Do I need to buy a new sofa?”
Not “Is this bad Feng Shui?”
Not “Why does this one area of my home feel like it has a tiny emotional tax attached to it?”

We are going to look at the room through three lenses:

Space.
Energy.
Intuition.

Because your home is usually giving you clues. We just need to stop walking past them with a basket of laundry and denial.

And it’s not just me at the summit. There are **23 other teachers** sharing their wisdom too, so if you are Feng Shui curious, energy curious, home curious, or just ready to learn from people who really know their stuff, this is a beautiful free event to join.

I’ll also have some goodies to share during my session, plus a special IFSG attendee offer for my Spring Reset workshop on May 20.

That workshop is where we take the Room Read process deeper and apply it to your actual home.

One room.
One issue.
One energy leak.
One clear place to begin.

The summit is free.
The Spring Reset is the deeper dive.
Come to one. Come to both. Bring the room that keeps side-eyeing you.

Hola friends,

For anyone who is Feng Shui curious, home-curious, energy-curious, or just tired of walking into a room and thinking, “Why does this space feel like it is quietly judging me?” — this is for you.

I’m teaching at the FREE IFSG Feng Shui Summit on May 15, and the whole 2-day summit is packed with wisdom from people who really know their stuff.

My session is called:
"The Room Read: A Repeatable 3-Lens Audit"

In plain English? I’ll be teaching you how to look at a room through space, energy, and intuition — so your home stops being a mystery novel with weird lighting and starts giving you actual clues.

Then, on May 20, I’m taking this further in my own seasonal workshop:
"Spring Reset: Design for Stability"

That’s where we roll up our sleeves a bit more and choose one room, one issue, one energy leak, one “why is this still annoying me?” moment — and begin to shift it with practical design guidance, Feng Shui thinking, and my Sage Designer brain in the room with you.

The summit is free.
The Spring Reset workshop is the deeper dive.

Come to one. Come to both. Bring your weird corner.

I just came off the first Fire Horse seasonal check-in with my February workshop group, and the theme is still very much alive:
slow and steady.

Not asleep at the wheel.
Not galloping off a cliff.

Not pretending the room, the calendar, and the nervous system are all “fine” when they are clearly having a committee meeting without us.

This is exactly why I created Spring Reset: Design for Stability.

One room.
Three grounded next steps.
No panic makeover.

May 20. Online. Replay included.

May has a funny way of looking spacious on the calendar.

Then suddenly it is nearly summer, and the room you meant to “deal with later” is still sitting there being mildly irritating.

That is the moment Spring Reset is for.

May 20.

The April "Inside Conscious Design" newsletter is out — a little peek behind the curtain of my work, my studio brain, and the spaces that keep teaching me things.

This month: small shifts, steadier spaces, and the upcoming Spring Reset: Design for Stability workshop.

Because spring is lovely… but also slightly bossy.

Come read, poke around, and sign up if your home is giving “please send reinforcements.”

The kind that asks: what makes home easier to land in right now? What makes life feel a little softer, a little clearer, a little less like everything is coming at me at once?
