Day 4: Aranda de Duero to Burgo de Osma, 80km

We woke up with a small drama as the day before my car started to sound really bad 3km before end of stage.

After an unknown oil leak, we didn't have much oil left in the engine so...2 big ends need to be replace.
Thanks to the teamwork, we open the engine and after 2h worka we were ready to carry on. I am lucky to sharw this trip with friends with much more experiemce than me so everyday is school day.

What a start of the day, right? Although it is part of the adventure :)

We wanted to enjoy the sun, so the day was nice but really warm...36deg and no roof in my car as i did damage it on thw first day...oops

We made a break in Peñaranda de Duero. Really nice village and the major allow us to park in the main square to take some brilliant pictures.
At the wnd of the afternoon we arrive to Burgo de Osma foe the verification of the cars. Ready for the 4th Rally Centenarios organised by FEVA

Ready for a nice weekend with over 50 cars. Brilliant weekend ahead :)

Day 3 Lerma - Aranda de Duero 95km
After visiting and walking around Lerma, next stop is Aranda de Duero, well known for the Lechazo and D.O of w**e Ribera del Duero.

We did stop in a fantastic medieval village build by one man only Territorio Artlanza . Incredible art!

We arrived to our destination in Aranda de Duero for a w**e testing Finca Torremilanos. Really nice place and worth the visit.

In trrms.of the cars, all went ok another day. Although one of the cars (mine oops) needs to be checked after a very serious noises in the transmission in the last 5km of the stage.Hopefully it is just a simple repair.

It is paet of the adventure, so time for some mechanical repair.

Day 2 in Spain: Oña - Lerma 120km

Scorchio now is with us! Brilliant drive through countryside roads in Burgos.
Short stop half way to readjust spark plug conexions in one of the cars.
At lunch time we stop for the typical Lechazo dish (milk feed lamb) in Asador Casa César in the vilage of Quintanadueñas

A local 1926 model T joined us along the route which it was really nice.

Day 1 Bilbao - Oña
122km in total without any major issues.
Just 1 coil box replacement in one of the cars and some leaks in the petrol tank but nothing serious so far.
Oh boy! There were some hills around the area, lol. Challenging but all ok.

We left the ferry after 2 nights and started driving towards Oña (Burgos). We did stop in my Mum's village Puente Arenas and see some relatives and good friends.
Stop for lunch in . Thanks a lot!

Day 1 done!

And after a long hours working in the background, finally we are off to Spain!
6 model T we will be driving from UK to .elburgodeosma to join to the rally organised by Rally Centenario

Already in Portsmouth waiting for the Ferry :)

On my way to Spain in a 1925 Ford T!

As some of you know, i have been planning a very special road trip for a long time now. Thought I'd share some updates.

It is a kind of a challenge because I will be driving over 1000km between Leamington Spa and a very small village in Spain in the model T (although i will be taking the Ferry to Bilbao)
For this adventure, i'll be accompanied by 5 other cars, all from the Model T Ford Register of Great Britain club.

Camino a Soria en un Ford T de 1925!

Un reto conduciendo más de 1000km en un Ford T de 1925 desde Leamington Spa (Inglaterra) hasta La Riba de Escalote, un pequeño pueblo en la provincia de Soria (Castilla y León). Para esta aventura estaré acompañado de 5 coches más procedentes de UK.

Si lo podeis compartir o colaborar por muy poquito que sea sería genial. Todo suma para una buena causa.
Todos las donaciones van directamente a la Asociación Española contra el Cáncer.
