I love how this zoom in on the fragment texture shows the layered complexity of all the elements that make up the crushed pink granite I forage along the shoreline by my home.

~ GR26 ~ Fragments
In this new collection, I invite the Breton coastline into the ceramic body, exploring the disintegration of pink granite from whole stones to fragments.

I’ll be happy to show you the pieces in real life next week, at MAISON&OBJET ~ Come and say hi ✨

GR26 ~ Fragments & Gems

Stones are just the starting point ~ granite rocks and pebbles, mostly pink, foraged along the shoreline by my home. I’ve been collecting them for as long as I can remember, their gentle weight deforming most of my pockets, usually mixed up with a bunch of shells and driftwood.

In this new collection, I the Breton coastline into the ceramic body, exploring the disintegration of pink granite from whole stones to fragments.

See you next week? Get in touch if you’d like to pop by! ~ Excited to bring a new body of work, deeply anchored into the coast of Northern Brittany, to the Fine Craft Pavillon at MAISON&OBJET . Unique collectible objects and more ambitious spatial pieces, tactile textures and foraged materials at the heart ~ I can’t wait to share them all with you.
~ Here’s a sneak peek shot beautiful by Liz Seabrook ✨

Focus on the texture of my most ambitious piece to date, radically changing the scale of my pieces ~ an organic stoneware side table, slathered in pink granite fragments. Still figuring out how to shoot it whole to share it with you soon ✨

~ ORMEAU ~ A simple abalone trinket dish, moulded from a real shelf foraged on the coast of Northern Brittany. I love to use it as a lovely soap holder or jewellery box ✨
